Background: Persistent Müllerian duct tissue in male individuals may result in an enlarged prostatic utricle (utricular cysts and utricle) or a Müllerian duct cysts, either distinctively or synonymously. In intersex patients Müllerian duct remnants (MDR) are an usual occurrence.
