Anorexia nervosa (AN) is a severe psychiatric disorder marked by extreme weight control behaviors and significant impacts on physical and psychosocial health. This study explores the relationship between vitamin D (Vit-D) levels and impulsivity in women with AN. Forty-six cisgender White women participants were assessed upon admission and before discharge from a specialized eating disorder treatment center, with an average duration of 2.

Comparing patients' and their healthy siblings' responses might help one evaluate whether there are significant differences between healthy individuals and those struggling with EDs in regard to posttraumatic psychological symptoms. (2) Methods: A sample of 141 ED patients and 99 healthy siblings were enrolled in this study in two different centers specializing in ED treatment.

For this purpose, we prepared by electropolymerization a conductive polymer poly-(aniline-co-3-aminobenzoic acid) (PANABA) then we immobilized anti-2,4-D antibody onto a nanocomposite AuNPs-PANABA-MWCNTs employing the carboxylic moieties as anchor sites. The nanocomposite was synthesized by electrochemical polymerization of aniline and 3-aminobenzoic acid, in the presence of a dispersion of gold nanoparticles, onto a multi-walled carbon nanotubes-based screen printed electrode.

The synthesized compounds have shown a very high anticancer activity. Cell proliferation assay showed that they induce a remarkable inhibition of cell proliferation in all cell lines treated, depending on culture time and concentration.

Studies in adult populations show that retinal microvascular changes are associated with obesity and components of the metabolic syndrome. In our study we have assessed the effect of body mass index (BMI), metabolic parameters, and adiposity on the retinal microvasculature in children.

This approach is based on the assumption that the edible status remains unaltered in the immunoglobulin-expressing fruit, and therefore extensive purification is not required for mucosal delivery. However, unintended effects associated with IgA expression such as toxic secondary metabolites and protein allergens cannot be dismissed a priori and need to be investigated.

To evaluate the stroboscopic and acoustic results obtained with larynx fiberendoscopic surgery (LFS) to remove pedunculated vocal fold polyps. Prospective study, comparing before and after surgery results. We used a series of 31 patients, with a pedicled vocal fold polyp.

These tumors usually appear as isolated lesions. We report the case of a male patient with three simultaneous granular cell tumors located in the anterior pillar of the tonsil, vocal cord and arytenoid.

These measurements are represented on an easily interpreted graph that allows the magnitude of the vocal area to be evaluated. We made phonetograms of persons with nodules (3), polyps (16) and Reinke edema (10) and compared their results to those of a group of 25 healthy subjects.

The ideal method for preventing rupture of an exposed artery should be easy to perform, safe, effective and should spare local and regional flaps for later use in reconstruction. Isobutyl-2-cyanoacrylate (Bucrylate) is a commercially available compound that appears to meet these criteria.
