(1) Background: The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on individuals with eating disorders (EDs) has been recorded all over the world; the traumatic effects of COVID-19 have exacerbated specific and general psychopathologies in those with EDs. Comparing patients' and their healthy siblings' responses might help one evaluate whether there are significant differences between healthy individuals and those struggling with EDs in regard to posttraumatic psychological symptoms. (2) Methods: A sample of 141 ED patients and 99 healthy siblings were enrolled in this study in two different centers specializing in ED treatment.

AuNPs-functionalized PANABA-MWCNTs nanocomposite-based impedimetric immunosensor for 2,4-dichlorophenoxy acetic acid detection.

In this work, we developed an impedimetric label-free immunosensor for the detection of 2,4-Dichlorophenoxy Acetic Acid (2,4-D) herbicide either in standard solution and spiked real samples. For this purpose, we prepared by electropolymerization a conductive polymer poly-(aniline-co-3-aminobenzoic acid) (PANABA) then we immobilized anti-2,4-D antibody onto a nanocomposite AuNPs-PANABA-MWCNTs employing the carboxylic moieties as anchor sites. The nanocomposite was synthesized by electrochemical polymerization of aniline and 3-aminobenzoic acid, in the presence of a dispersion of gold nanoparticles, onto a multi-walled carbon nanotubes-based screen printed electrode.

Synthesis and Enantiomeric Separation of a Novel Spiroketal Derivative: A Potent Human Telomerase Inhibitor with High in Vitro Anticancer Activity.

The synthesis, the enantiomeric separation, and the characterization of new simple spiroketal derivatives have been performed. The synthesized compounds have shown a very high anticancer activity. The production of neutralizing immunoglobulin A (IgA) in edible fruits as a means of oral passive immunization is a promising strategy for the inexpensive treatment of mucosal diseases. [A multifocal granular-cell tumor of the upper airways].

Granular cell tumor now is considered to be a neoplasm with the same origin as schwannomas and it should be considered in the differential diagnosis of small tumors of the upper airway. These tumors usually appear as isolated lesions. We report the case of a male patient with three simultaneous granular cell tumors located in the anterior pillar of the tonsil, vocal cord and arytenoid.

Carotid artery exposure and rupture is one of the most feared complications of head and neck surgery. The ideal method for preventing rupture of an exposed artery should be easy to perform, safe, effective and should spare local and regional flaps for later use in reconstruction. Isobutyl-2-cyanoacrylate (Bucrylate) is a commercially available compound that appears to meet these criteria.
