A 73-year-old man underwent a distal gastrectomy with dissection of D2 lymph nodes for type 2 gastric cancer at the front wall of pyloric antrum in June 2006 (Pathological finding was moderately differentiated adenocarcinoma, T2, N0, H0, P0, M0, fStage IB). Although he was given UFT and PSK for postoperative adjuvant therapy, MRI showed a liver metastasis at segment 6 of the liver in June 2007. After 2 courses of S-1, posterior segmentectomy of the liver was performed.
