Objective: To establish a simple screening method for diabetes based on myoinositol (MI) in urine samples collected at home.

Research Design And Methods: Initially, we evaluated the stability of urinary MI (UMI) at room temperature (RT; 25°C) and 37°C in 10 outpatients with type 2 diabetes. We then enrolled 115 volunteers without a current or history of diabetes.
