Aims: Pericoronary adipose tissue (PCAT) attenuation obtained by coronary computed tomography angiography (CCTA) has been associated with coronary inflammation and outcomes. Whether PCAT attenuation is predictive of major adverse cardiac events (MACE) during long-term follow-up is unknown.
Methods And Results: Symptomatic patients with coronary artery disease (CAD) who underwent CCTA were included, and clinical outcomes were evaluated.

Given current pretest probability (PTP) estimations tend to overestimate patients' risk for obstructive coronary artery disease, evaluation of patients' coronary artery calcium (CAC) is more precise. The value of CAC assessment with the Agatston score on cardiac computed tomography (CT) for risk estimation has been well indicated in patients with stable chest pain. Non-invasive screening for coronary artery disease (CAD) starting five years after irradiation is recommended, as plaque development and morphology may differ in this high-risk population. Due to rapid plaque progression and a possibly higher incidence of non-calcified plaques, coronary artery calcium scoring may not be sufficient as a screening modality in HL survivors treated with thoracic radiotherapy.

Patients with diabetes mellitus (DM) may show diffuse coronary artery atherosclerosis on coronary computed tomography angiography (CTA). The present study aimed at quantification of atherosclerotic plaque with CTA and its association with myocardial ischemia on positron emission tomography (PET) in DM patients. Objectives: This study sought to evaluate whether right ventricular (RV) tissue heterogeneity on computed tomography (CT): 1) is associated with conduction delay in arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy (ARVC); and 2) distinguishes patients with ARVC from those with exercise-induced arrhythmogenic remodeling (EIAR) and control individuals.
Background: ARVC is characterized by fibrofatty replacement, related to conduction delay and ventricular tachycardias. Distinguishing ARVC from acquired, EIAR is challenging.
Background: Automatic accurate measuring of the aortic annulus and determination of the optimal angulation of X-ray projection are important for the trans-catheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) procedure. The objective of this study was to present a novel fully automatic methodology for the quantification of the aortic annulus in computed tomography angiography (CTA) images.
Methods: CTA datasets of 26 patients were analyzed retrospectively with the proposed methodology, which consists of a knowledge-based segmentation of the aortic root and detection of the orientation and size of the aortic annulus.

Aims: The aim of this study was to assess the impact of adding stress computed tomography (CT) myocardial perfusion (CTP) to coronary CT angiography (CTA) on downstream referral for invasive coronary angiography (ICA), revascularization, and outcome in patients presenting with new-onset chest pain.
Methods And Results: Three hundred and eighty-four patients were referred for cardiac CT. Patients with lesions ≥50% stenosis underwent subsequently stress CTP.

Background: We evaluated the prognostic value of an integrated atherosclerosis risk score combining the markers of coronary plaque burden, location and composition as assessed by computed tomography angiography (CTA).
Methods: 922 consecutive patients underwent CTA for suspected coronary artery disease (CAD). Patients without atherosclerosis (n = 261) and in whom quantitative CTA analysis was not feasible due to image quality, step-artefacts or technical factors related to image acquisition or data storage (n = 153) were excluded.
Aims: The interpretation of adenosine stress myocardial computed tomography perfusion (CTP) is often hampered by image artefacts caused by cardiac motion, beam hardening, and cone beam. The aim of the present analysis was to assess the influence of the heart-rate response during adenosine infusion, patient characteristics, and medication use on the interpretability of stress myocardial CTP examinations.
Methods And Results: Interpretability of stress myocardial CTP examinations was evaluated in 120 patients who underwent sequentially coronary CTA and adenosine stress myocardial CTP (320-row CT scanner, temporal resolution 175 ms) and scored as follows: excellent = absence of any artefact (n = 27, 22%); good = presence of artefacts that do not interfere with the study interpretability (n = 56, 47%); fair = artefacts that do interfere with interpretability (n = 35, 29%); poor = uninterpretable study due to artefacts (n = 2, 2%).
Aims: Hybrid imaging provides a non-invasive assessment of coronary anatomy and myocardial perfusion. We sought to evaluate the added clinical value of hybrid imaging in a multi-centre multi-vendor setting.
