Background/objectives: Trypanosomiasis and bovine babesiosis correspond to important diseases that cause great economic losses, but there are still no studies evaluating their occurrence in herds of dairy cattle in Ceará. This research aimed to obtain a hematological and biochemical profile of buffalos (Bubalus bubalis) bred in a region of the Brazilian Legal Amazon. A total of 73 animals of mixed races, divided into three groups, were studied: group 1 (G1) comprised animals up to 11 months old; in group 2 (G2), subjects were 12 to 23 months old; and, in group 3 (G3), they were 24 months old and older. Ovarian xenografting is an auxiliary reproductive technique that allows the conservation of germplasm of high-value livestock and endangered species. The use of exogenous gonadotropins assists in developing xenografted tissues and obtaining viable follicles for in vitro embryo production; however, this use has not been reported in the xenografting of cats' (Felis catus) ovaries with C57BL/6 female SCID mice (Mus musculus) as recipients.
