Microdeletions detected using chromosome microarray in children with suspected genetic movement disorders: a single-centre study.

Aim: Chromosome microarray (CMA) can determine copy number variants such as microdeletions or microduplications. Microdeletions of movement disorder genes including epsilon-sarcoglycan (SGCE) and thyroid transcription factor-1 (TITF1) have been described in patients with myoclonus dystonia and benign hereditary chorea respectively. We examined whether CMA is a valuable tool in the investigation of children with suspected genetic movement disorders.

Methods: Content and thematic analysis of an online discussion forum held following the national screening of a documentary about the measles-mumps-rubella (MMR) vaccine and autism scare. A subsample of branches containing more than 20 posts was analysed.

Purpose: Reaction time (RT) is defined as the time lapse between the onset of a stimulus and the initiation of a response. The purpose of Study 1 was to compare RTs of young and elderly women during ambulation. The purpose of Study 2 was to investigate the effects of regular exercise on RTs of elderly women during ambulation tasks.
