Background: Aluminum (Al) contamination of parenteral nutrition (PN) solutions remains a concern for long-term PN patients. Al accumulates particularly in bone. Excessive exposure to Al may result in increased Al body burden and impaired bone formation and mineralization, leading to bone disease.
