Objective: To describe chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) treatment patterns and patient outcomes in Latin America.
Methods: This chart review study (NCT02559583; 2008-2015)evaluated time to progression (TTP) and overall survival (OS) outcomes among patients with CLL who initiate done (= 261) to two ( = 96) lines of therapy (LOT) since diagnosis. Differences in TTP and OS were assessed by Kaplan-Meier analysis, with a log-rank test for statistical significance.
Thrombocytopenia remains a challenge in myeloid malignancies, needing safer and more effective therapies. JNJ-26366821, a pegylated synthetic peptide thrombopoietin (TPO) mimetic not homologous to endogenous TPO, has an in-vitro EC50 of 0.2 ng/mL for the TPO receptor and dose dependently elevates platelets in volunteers.

Here, we describe the pharmacokinetic (PK) observations, along with modeling to further explore the interaction between ibrutinib and rituximab.
Methods: 578 subjects were randomized to ibrutinib or placebo with BR (6 cycles).
Ibrutinib, a Bruton tyrosine kinase inhibitor, is approved for treatment of various B-cell malignancies. In ibrutinib clinical studies, low-grade haemorrhage was common, whereas major haemorrhage (MH) was infrequent. We analysed the incidence of and risk factors for MH from 15 ibrutinib clinical studies (N = 1768), including 4 randomised controlled trials (RCTs).

Health-related quality of life (HRQoL) is an important endpoint, especially in clinical trials for malignancies with a long course of disease, such as chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). Patient-reported outcomes were examined in the randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled HELIOS study to assess the impact of treatment with the Bruton's tyrosine kinase inhibitor ibrutinib, added to bendamustine plus rituximab (BR) background therapy. Measures included FACIT-Fatigue, EORTC QLQ-C30, QLQ-CLL16, and EQ-5D-5L.

Bendamustine plus rituximab is often used in the relapsed or refractory setting. We assessed the efficacy and safety of adding ibrutinib, an oral covalent inhibitor of Bruton's tyrosine kinase (BTK), to bendamustine plus rituximab in patients with previously treated chronic lymphocytic leukaemia or small lymphocytic lymphoma.

We describe the design and rationale for the Phase III HELIOS trial (trial registration: EudraCT No. 2012-000600-15; UTN No.

JAK2 and MPL mutations, while common drivers of myeloproliferative neoplasms in adult patients, are not clearly linked to pediatric disease. Management and clinical outcomes in adults have been well delineated with defined recommendations for risk stratification and treatment.

There are limited data on the immunogenicity of this vaccine after allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo-HCT). Since 2007, we have immunized 48 patients with the MCV4 vaccine.
