Halitosis is defined as an unpleasant odor that emanates from the oral cavity with intra-oral and/or extra-oral origins. Fifty percent of people worldwide view themselves as having halitosis, with 90% of the etiology being intra-oral. Mobius syndrome, a rare, non-progressive, congenital neuromuscular disorder, presents with multiple dental and medical complications. Signs and symptoms of this condition include: congenital, bilateral or unilateral palsies of the facial and abducens cranial nerves (cardinal sign), and a broad scope of multisystem abnormalities, which may or may not include the following: opthalmoplegia externa, lingual palsy, clubfoot, branchial malformation, ptosis, mental retardation, and pectoralis muscle defect. From a dental standpoint, a number of anomalies may manifest, including: multiple congenitally missing teeth (both deciduous and permanent), micrognathia, paralysis and hypoplasia of the tongue, absence of facial expression and weakness of the palate.

Statement Of Problems: Postoperative cold sensitivity after the cementation of indirect restorations with composite cements has been reported frequently but not scientifically documented.

Purpose: This controlled clinical study was designed to simulate the dentin/composite cement interface immediately after cementation of a cast restoration. The desensitizing capabilities of a composite cement that contains a self-etching, dual-polymerizing resin adhesive system were compared with those of a composite cement that use phosphoric acid etching followed by a single-bottle, light-activated primer/resin-based adhesive.
