Background: The impact of sodium-glucose cotransporter-2 (SGLT2) inhibitors on mortality following myocardial infarction (MI) remains uncertain. Additionally, the role of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and heart failure (HF) in modulating the effectiveness of these drugs post-MI are not fully understood. This meta-analysis aimed to assess the association of SGLT2 inhibitors with all-cause mortality in post-MI patients and to explore key moderators influencing this benefit.

Background: Despite evidence supporting use of fractional flow reserve (FFR) and instantaneous waves-free ratio (iFR) to improve outcome of patients undergoing coronary angiography (CA) and percutaneous coronary intervention, such techniques are still underused in clinical practice due to economic and logistic issues.

Objectives: We aimed to develop an artificial intelligence (AI)-based application to compute FFR and iFR from plain CA.

Methods And Results: Consecutive patients performing FFR or iFR or both were enrolled.

Introduction: The Watchman FLX is a novel device for transcatheter left atrial appendage occlusion (LAAO) specifically designed to improve procedural performance in more complex anatomies with a better safety profile. Recently, small prospective non-randomized studies have shown good procedural success and safety compared with previous experiences. Results from large multicenter registries are needed to confirm the safety and efficacy of the Watchman FLX device in a real-world setting.

Background: To present the first case series of total robotic hysterectomy (TRH), using integrated table motion (ITM), which is a new feature comprising a unique operating table by Trumpf Medical that communicates wirelessly with the da Vinci Xi surgical system. ITM has been specifically developed to improve multiquadrant robotic surgery such as that conducted in colorectal surgery.

Methods: Between May and October 2015, a prospective post-market study was conducted on ITM in the EU in 40 cases from different specialties.
