Background: Computerized cognitive tests may extend the reach of cognitive screening and monitoring to those with mobility issues or living in remote areas. Moreover, it could enable frequent and autonomous remote cognitive assessments in people with multiple sclerosis (pwMS) on account of its reduced economic and organizational costs. This may further improve our understanding of longitudinal trends and significantly improve the standard of care for pwMS living in remote areas or with mobility limitations.

Clinicians routinely address cognitive deficits with in-clinic neuro-behavioural interventions, but accessibility issues exist. Given these challenges, coupled with the lifelong need for continuous assistance in PwMS, researchers have underscored the advantageous role of telerehabilitation in addressing these requirements.

Transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) is a safe, simple, non-invasive brain stimulation technique showing considerable effectiveness in improving depressive symptoms. Most studies to date have applied anodal tDCS to the left dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (DLPFC), in line with the hypothesis that depressed patients exhibit relative hypoactivity in the left DLPFC compared to the right.

Method: We used machine learning (ML) in order to develop high accuracy classification between PD patients with high and low scores in the alternate fluency test.
Results: The models developed resulted to be accurate in such classification in a range between 80% and 90%.
Background And Purpose: Cognitive dysfunction has been observed following recovery from COVID-19. To the best of our knowledge, however, no study has assessed the progression of cognitive impairment after 1 year. The aim was to assess cognitive functioning at 1 year from hospital discharge, and eventual associations with specific clinical variables.

We investigated the correlation between total electrical energy delivered (TEED) and the occurrence of depressive traits in patients with Parkinson disease (PD) after one year of DBS.
Materials And Methods: Our study involved 20 patients with PD (12 women, mean [±SD] age 57.

From the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, the use of surgical masks became widespread. However, they occlude an important part of the face and make it difficult to decode and interpret other people's emotions. To clarify the effect of surgical masks on configural and featural processing, participants completed a facial emotion recognition task to discriminate between happy, sad, angry, and neutral faces.

From the early 1990s, with the discovery of the so-called cerebellar inhibition (CBI), several studies have focused their attention on the use of cerebellar NIBS as treatment for different motor disorders. Cerebellar ataxias (CAs) represent the prototypical clinical manifestation of cerebellar alterations, but other movement disorders, such as Parkinson's disease, essential tremor, and dystonia have also been associated with alterations of networks which include the cerebellum, or of the cerebellum itself.

We aimed to study resilience in recovered COVID-19 patients after hospital discharge. We recruited 50 patients (38 males, aged 28-77) who were hospitalized for COVID-19 between March and April 2020.

Its application seems also feasible for the treatment of neuropsychiatric disorders such as treatment resistant depression (TRD) and Tourette's syndrome (TS). In a typical deep brain stimulation system, the amount of current delivered to the patients is constant and regulated by the physician.

There is limited evidence about the specific contribution of the cerebellum to the recognition of emotional contents in facial expressions even though patients with cerebellar dysfunction often lose this ability. In this study, we aimed to evaluate whether the recognition of facial expressions can be modulated by cerebellar transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) in PD patients.

In this study, we assess the level of physical activity and psychological wellbeing in a sample of the Italian population during lockdown through an online format of International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ) and Psychological General Well-Being index-Short version (PGWB-S) . Of 317 adult responders considered, most were female (61.

We recruited 38 (aged 22-74 years; 27 males) patients hospitalized for complications of SARS-CoV-2 infection in nonintensive COVID units. Participants underwent neuropsychological testing about 5 months after hospital discharge.
