Background: Human literature describes vascular patterns in various types of lung consolidations; however, these changes have not been analyzed in dogs and cats. This retrospective analysis of medical records aimed to describe vascular patterns observed in the airless subpleural lung tissue of dogs and cats and to compare these patterns to various lung consolidations and clinical diagnoses according to parenchymal and vascular criteria described in human literature.
Animals: This study included 347 cats and 634 dogs.

Objective: We determined the performance metrics PDs are required to disclose on state licensing VOT forms.
The authors present a short summary of the current state of malaria vaccine development and the per- spectives for the availability of a malaria vaccines for travellers from non-endemic countries. There is currently no commercially available malaria vaccine for travellers. Travellers' diarrhoea, chikungunya and dengue are common in travellers and protracted manifestations such as post-infectious irritable bowel syndrome (travellers' diarrhoea), arthritis (chikungunya) or post-dengue syndrome may be more prevalent than previously thought.
