An intimate understanding of dynamic angioarchitectural development of vascular malformations involving the intracranium may provide mechanistic insight into the incipient pathogenesis of these lesions. The authors report two patients harboring cerebral developmental venous anomaly (DVA) and three patients harboring sporadically developing cerebral arteriovenous malformations (AVM) in whom the internal cerebral vein (ICV) represented the chief venous egress route. Onyx embolization successfully achieved complete obliteration in all patients harboring cerebral AVMs.

Tumefactive demyelination is a phenomenon involving the radiographic resemblance of an acute demyelinating process in the central nervous system to neoplasia. Although this has been described and characterized for multiple sclerosis, it has been reported in a few cases in patients with acute disseminated encephalomyelitis (ADEM) within the past decade. While it may be challenging to establish a diagnosis of tumefactive ADEM according to clinical and radiological data alone, a thorough review of the clinical history and following the patient over time can be supportive of the same.

Introduction: Loeys-Dietz Syndromes (LDS) are a group of connective tissue disorders associated with vascular abnormalities, including arterial tortuosity, aneurysms, and dissections. While neurovascular involvement is common, no pediatric or young adult recommendations for screening exist. We aimed to review our institution's experience with special focus on neurovascular imaging to better understand the pathology and guide screening.
