Objectives: To evaluate the oncological and perioperative outcomes from a large, single-centre, robot-assisted radical cystectomy (RARC) cohort performed with intracorporeal urinary diversion (ICUD).

Patients And Methods: Patients who underwent RARC because of bladder cancer or recurrent carcinoma in situ from June 2009 until August 2020 at Herlev and Gentofte Hospital were prospectively and consecutively included. In this case report, a 58-year-old male with comorbidities of BMI 41 kg/m2, hypertension and diabetes type 2 underwent radical cystectomy. The operation was performed in 30-degree Trendelenburg and lasted > 7 hours with a total blood loss of 850 ml. The patient presented with painless bilateral vision loss upon awakening.

Background: Late radiation cystitis is an adverse effect of cancer treatment with radiotherapy in the pelvic region. Symptoms of late radiation cystitis can be assessed with the Expanded Prostate Index Composite Score (EPIC). Previous reports indicate that hyperbaric oxygen therapy reduces symptoms from late radiation cystitis, but the evidence is predominantly based on non-randomised and retrospective studies.
