We present a three patient case series of infants who presented to the pediatric emergency department with fever, bulging anterior fontanelle (BAF), and an omicron variant COVID-19 infection. All patients had a benign course, none developed meningitis, and all had symptom resolution after two days. Considerations for neuroimaging and lumbar puncture are discussed.

The overdose resulted in critical deterioration with evidence of fever, metabolic acidosis, respiratory failure, and pancreatitis that resulted in admission to the intensive care unit.

Methods: We compared the pre- and postoperative health status for 157 total hip arthroplasty (THA) patients operated on from 2007 to 2011 attended by an annual Canadian orthopedic mission to Ecuador to determine the quality-adjusted life years (QALYs) gained. The costs of each mission are known.
Background: Some pediatric tertiary care centres in North America supplement conventional care with complementary therapies, together known as pediatric integrative medicine (PIM). Evidence to support the safety and efficacy of PIM is emerging, but the cost-effectiveness of an inpatient PIM service has yet to be assessed.
Methods/design: This study is a pragmatic cluster controlled clinical trial.
