Objective: To determine if recurrence rates and complication rates differ between 3 different techniques for treatment of idiopathic hydrocele: Jaboulay's bottleneck, hydrocelectomy, or Lord's technique.

Methods: All surgeries for idiopathic hydrocele in the health system were reviewed from 2000 to 2011. Recurrence rate, complication rate, and other surgical data were collected and analyzed.

Introduction: Photoselective vaporization of the prostate (PVP) with the greenlight laser has become a popular alternative to the standard transurethral resection of the prostate for patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Our initial results of postoperative erectile function are presented.

Aim: To prospectively evaluate the postoperative erectile function of the first 105 consecutive patients undergoing PVP at Texas A&M Health Sciences Center, Scott & White Memorial Hospital, using the Sexual Health Inventory for Men (SHIM) questionnaire.

Many cases of testicular trauma secondary to munitions have been reported. We report a case of a 37-year-old man who suffered testicular trauma as a result of a less-lethal munition projectile. With the advent, and increased use, of less-lethal munitions by the military and law enforcement agencies, more of these new subsets of genitourinary trauma patients who will require care are sure to result.
