Methods: Databases (MEDLINE, Embase, Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews) were systematically searched between 1 January, 2000 and 25 November, 2021, and supplemented by hand searches.
Background: Optimal treatment of cervical cancer is based on disease stage; therefore, an understanding of the global epidemiology of specific stages of locally advanced disease is needed.
Objective: This systematic literature review was conducted to understand the global and region-specific proportions of patients with cervical cancer with locally advanced disease and to determine the incidence of the locally advanced disease.
Methods: Systematic searches identified observational studies published in English between 2010 and June 10, 2020, reporting the proportion of patients with, and/or incidence of, locally advanced stages of cervical cancer (considered International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO) IB2-IVA).
Background: Survival outcomes for cervical cancer differ between countries and world regions. Locally advanced cervical cancer (LACC) is associated with poorer outcomes than early-stage disease. Country-specific variations in diagnostic and treatment recommendations might contribute to differences in LACC outcomes among countries.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFObjectives: The National Sleep Foundation (NSF) sought to test, refine, and add statistical rigor to its previously described provisional Sleep Satisfaction Tool (SST). The tool assesses the general population's sleep satisfaction.
Design: In 2017, NSF created a provisional tool through systematic literature review and an expert consensus panel process.
Objectives: The goal of this project was to provisionally identify the basic elements of sleep satisfaction within the general population.
Methods: The National Sleep Foundation conducted a systematic literature review and identified 495 published articles evaluating potential indicators of sleep satisfaction. The National Sleep Foundation then convened an expert panel ("Panel"), provided full-text articles and summaries, and used a modified RAND appropriateness method with three total rounds of voting to determine the appropriateness of indicators for sleep satisfaction.
Objectives: A validated survey instrument to assess general sleep health would be a useful research tool, particularly when objective measures of sleep are not feasible. Thus, the National Sleep Foundation spearheaded the development of the Sleep Health Index (SHI).
Design: The development of the SHI began with a task force of experts who identified key sleep domains and questions.
Background: The aim of this study is to review accelerometer wear methods and correlations between accelerometry and physical activity questionnaire data, depending on participant characteristics.
Methods: We included 57 articles about physical activity measurement by accelerometry and questionnaires. Criteria were to have at least 100 participants of at least 18 years of age with manuscripts available in English.
Purpose: While obesity is considered a prognostic factor in colorectal cancer (CRC), there is increasing evidence that not simply body mass index (BMI) alone but specifically abdominal fat distribution is what matters.
