Patients carrying a wild-type TP53 coding sequence (CDS) and 1 or more 3'UTR SNVs had a better 5-year survival rate than patients carrying a wild-type CDS and the reference 3'UTR, yet there is no statistically significance difference in overall survival (OS). In contrast, 3'UTR variation predicted poorer OS for patients with a mutant TP53 CDS.

Premise Of The Study: Corallodiscus is widespread across China and in adjacent countries to the west and south, with C. lanuginosus covering the entire range of the genus. Microsatellite markers will be useful to address within-complex taxonomic and biogeographic structures of this species.

Here, we present an experimental set-up that allows reliable data generation for the highly homologous regions and that can be used for the evaluation of assay specificity.

: The oscillating piezoelectric field of a surface acoustic wave (SAW) is employed to transport photoexcited electrons and holes in GaAs nanowires deposited on a SAW delay line on a LiNbO3 crystal. The carriers generated in the nanowire by a focused light spot are acoustically transferred to a second location where they recombine. It is presently accepted that the KIT D816V mutation is detectable in tissues with neoplastic mast cells in most patients with indolent systemic mastocytosis. In this study, neoplastic mast cells were detected in bone marrow, but not in peripheral blood, by flow cytometry in all 25 included cases of indolent systemic mastocytosis. However, the KIT D816V mutation was detected using mutation-specific qPCR in both bone marrow and peripheral blood in all 25 cases, demonstrating for the first time that the KIT D816V mutation is consistently present in non-mast cells in indolent systemic mastocytosis and that these cells are circulating in peripheral blood.
