COVID-19 frauds: An exploratory study of victimization during a global crisis.

Research Summary: The COVID-19 pandemic threated public health and safety and led to a number of virus-related fraud schemes. We surveyed over 2,200 American adults to investigate their experiences with COVID-19-related frauds. Our goals were to better understand fraud targeting and victimization, as well as the impacts of fraud on victims.

Intimate Partner Violence and Subsequent Depression: Examining the Roles of Neighborhood Supportive Mechanisms.

This study examines the direct effects of neighborhood supportive mechanisms (e.g., collective efficacy, social cohesion, social networks) on depressive symptoms among females as well as their moderating effects on the impact of IPV on subsequent depressive symptoms.

Household and neighborhood contexts of intimate partner violence.

Objectives: Two sources of contextual risk on the prevalence and severity of intimate partner violence (IPV) are investigated: household economic condition and neighborhood disadvantage.
