A Case Report of Secondary Spontaneous Pneumomediastinum Induced by Vaping.

We present a rare case of vaping-induced spontaneous pneumomediastinum in a young healthy female. The patient presented to the emergency department with the chief complaint of acute onset chest pain. Imaging studies, chest X-ray, and computed tomography of the chest showed findings of pneumomediastinum.

Occult traumatic impaled foreign body, a challenging diagnosis of severe chronic lower extremity radicular pain.

The investigation of embedded soft tissue foreign bodies relies heavily on radiological imaging. The prompt identification of these objects is critical as retained foreign bodies may lead to serious infection or chronic debilitating pain depending on anatomical location. In this report, we present a case of a radiographically occult traumatically implanted foreign body in a 15-year-old female after a high-speed motor vehicle accident.

A Case of Pharyngeal-Cervical-Brachial Variant of Guillain-Barré Syndrome With Bilateral Glossopharyngeal Paralysis.

Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS) is a rapidly evolving autoimmune inflammatory disease of the peripheral nerves. It classically presents with progressive symmetrical ascending muscle weakness and hyporeflexia. The pharyngeal-cervical-brachial (PCB) variant is a rare variant of GBS that is characterized by axonal rather than demyelinating neuropathy and presents with rapidly progressive oropharyngeal (facial palsy, dysarthria) and cervicobrachial weakness, associated upper limb weakness, and hyporeflexia.
