Comparison of Early Range of Motion in Reverse Shoulder Arthroplasty Based on Indication: A Single Center Retrospective Review.

Background: Reverse shoulder arthroplasty (RSA) is commonly used in the treatment of rotator cuff arthropathy. Indications for RSA have expanded to include complex proximal humerus fractures. Studies directly comparing outcomes between traumatic and traditional elective indications are limited.

Open Achilles Tendon Rerupture: A Case Report and Review of the Literature.

In this report, we describe a rare case of open rerupture of an Achilles tendon following primary surgical repair. The rerupture occurred 12 weeks postoperatively and was associated with a transverse open wound perpendicular to the original surgical incision. This complication was successfully managed utilizing the preexisting transverse wound and a minimally invasive repair technique, minimizing further risk to the soft tissues overlying the tendon.

Health-Related Quality of Life in Early-Onset Scoliosis Patients Treated Surgically: EOSQ Scores in Traditional Growing Rod Versus Magnetically Controlled Growing Rods.

Objective: To compare quality of life and caregiver burden in traditional growing rod (TGR) and magnetic controlled growing rods (MCGR) patients.

Summary Of Background Data: MCGR decrease surgical sessions associated with treatment of early onset scoliosis (EOS), hoping to minimize the burdens seen with repetitive invasive surgeries in TGR treatment.
