Background And Purpose: Neoadjuvant stereotactic radiosurgery (NaSRS) is an emerging treatment option for brain metastases (BrM) planned for resection. The aim of this study was to report on the efficacy and safety of NaSRS in an individual patient data pooled analysis.
Materials And Methods: Patients undergoing single- and multi-fraction NaSRS for BrM at nine institutions in five countries (Australia, Canada, South Korea, Switzerland and USA) were included.

The method combines the first and second laws of thermodynamics with the Helmholtz free energy, then applies the result to the degradation-entropy generation theorem to relate a desired fatigue measure-stress, strain, cycles or time to failure-to the loads, materials and environmental conditions (including temperature and heat) via the irreversible entropies generated by the dissipative processes that degrade the fatigued material. Methods: General practioner referrals of shoulder pain to the musculoskeletal service diagnosed with stage II to III frozen shoulder and who opted for a treatment strategy of hydrodistension and guided physiotherapy exercise programme over a 12-month period were evaluated for 6 months.
Bi-modular primary hip stems exhibit high revision rates owing to corrosion at the stem-neck taper, and are associated with local adverse tissue reactions. The aim of this study was to relate the wear patterns observed for one bi-modular design to its design-specific stem-neck taper geometry. Wear patterns and initial geometry of the taper junctions were determined for 27 retrieved bi-modular primary hip arthroplasty stems (Rejuvenate, Stryker Orthopaedics) using a tactile coordinate-measuring device.
