Epidemiology of and Risk Factors for Table Saw Injuries of the Hands and Fingers.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate circumstances surrounding power saw injuries. We hypothesized that power saw injuries are caused by either inexperienced or inappropriate usage of saws.

Methods: A retrospective review of patients at our level 1 trauma center from January 2011 to April 2022 was conducted.

Third-Ray and Capitate Resection with Limited Midcarpal Fusion for Recurrent Giant Cell Tumor: A Case Report.

Case: We describe a 23-year-old man who had multiple recurrences of a giant cell tumor (GCT) of the third metacarpal. Initial treatments consisted of curettage without the use of an adjuvant and bone-grafting. At the time of the latest recurrence, the lesion had extended into the capitate and the trapezoid.

Correlation between protein function and ligand binding profiles.

We report that proteins with the same function bind the same set of small molecules from a standardized chemical library. This observation led to a quantifiable and rapidly adaptable method for protein functional analysis using experimentally derived ligand binding profiles. Ligand binding is measured using a high-throughput NMR ligand affinity screen with a structurally diverse chemical library.
