Background: Enhanced influenza vaccines are the best option for the elderly. In 2021, Argentina introduced the MF59-adjuvanted inactivated influenza vaccine (aIIV) for individuals aged 65 years. and above, in the national immunization program.

[Toxocariasis in children: analysis of 85 cases in a paediatric hospital in Argentina].

Background: Toxocariasis is a widely spread parasitic disease. The most frequent clinical form is asymptomatic (AT) although it may present with visceral larva migrans (VLM), ocular larva migrans (OLM) or covert (TE) involvement.

Aims: To describe the clinical presentation, laboratory, evolution and treatment characteristics of the cases and to compare the various clinical forms of presentation.

Postnatal infection or acquired cytomegalovirus in the newborn is transmitted by maternal cervical secretions at birth, breastfeeding, blood transfusion or biological fluids. Breast milk is the main source of infection. Clinical manifestations depend on the gestational age and birth weight, premature and low birth weight newborn being more vulnerable.
