Objective: To analyze and optimize extraction technics of Polygonum orientale flowers by response surface methodology.

Methods: With the index for the content of taxifolin in flowers of Polygonum orientale, the effect of three factors such as concentration of alcohol, extraction time and solvent-solid ratio was designed by Box-Behnken central composite. Extraction technic parameters of Polygonum orientale flowers was optimized by response surface methodology.
