Native mass spectrometric analysis of TPR2A and GrpE with unpurified peptides derived from limited proteolysis of their respective PPI partners (HSP90 C-terminus and DnaK) facilitated efficient, qualitative identification of interfacial epitopes involved in transient PPI formation. Application of this approach can assist in elucidating interfaces of currently uncharacterised transient PPIs.

Together with international partners, representatives from the 11 member countries -Cameroon, Côte d'Ivoire, Democratic Republic of Congo, Guinea, Kenya, Mozambique, Nigeria, Tanzania, Togo, Uganda, Zimbabwe- and an invited country (Malawi) shared their experience. The meeting featured three sessions: i) cholera surveillance, prevention and control in participating countries, ii) cholera surveillance methodology, such as cholera mapping, cost-effectiveness studies and the issue of overlapping epidemics from different diseases, iii) cholera laboratory diagnostics tools and capacity building.

We evaluated cholera epidemiology and population characteristics in the fishing villages of Uganda to better target prevention and control interventions of cholera and contribute to its elimination from those communities.
Methodology/principal Findings: We conducted a prospective study between 2011-15 in fishing villages in Uganda.
Maternal deaths associated with caesarean deliveries (CDs) have been increasing in South Africa over the past decade. The objective of this report is to bring national attention to this increasing epidemic of maternal deaths due to bleeding associated with CD in the majority of provinces of the country. Individual chart reviews of women who died from bleeding at or after CD show that 71% had avoidable factors.
