Quinolones and isoquinolones are privileged scaffolds in synthetic/medicinal chemistry and drug discovery due to their unique chemical structures and intrinsic properties. Herein, we reveal a transition-metal-free approach for their synthesis from the reaction of dimethyl-2-((phenylamino)methylene)malonate with aryne precursors under mild conditions. The substrate scope is broad, accommodating a wide range of functional groups.

The developed protocol allows the construction of various symmetrically substituted cyclohexanes in good to excellent yields. The major product also can be converted to the product (all equatorial) conveniently by acid catalysis.

Non-invasive methods like exfoliative cytology, albeit with the help of artificial intelligence (AI), have drawn additional interest.
Aim: The study aimed to harness the power of machine learning algorithms for the automated analysis of nuclear parameters in oral exfoliative cytology.
The ferret (Mustela putorius furo) is a small domesticated species of the family Mustelidae within the order Carnivora. The present article reviews and discusses the current state of knowledge about housing, care, breeding, and biomedical uses of ferrets. The management and breeding procedures of ferrets resemble those used for other carnivores.

Herein, we have described a novel method for their synthesis based on metal-free oxidative dehydrogenative N-N bond formation by PIDA-mediated reaction of easily accessible dianilide precursors. The developed mild reaction protocol features a good functional group tolerance and scalability.

This method offers rapid entry to the synthesis of quinazolinone scaffolds from easily accessible starting materials. The newly developed protocol is mild, operationally simple, oxidant free and general.

The phase change material n-tetradecane (C-14) was microencapsulated by using poly (methyl methacrylate -co- methacrylic acid) as a shell material through an oil by water-seeded emulsion polymerisation technique. The structural, morphological, and thermal properties of microcapsules were evaluated by using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, optical microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, differential scanning calorimetry analysis, and thermogravimetric analysis.

The commercially available bench-stable Ni(OTf) salt in combination with 1,2-bis(dicyclohexylphosphino)ethane (dcype) is very effective for this unprecedented catalytic transformation. A broad range of substrates including aromatic and aliphatic primary alcohols, cyclic and acyclic secondary alcohols, and various substituted 2-aminophenyl ethyl alcohols are employed in the reaction conditions to provide a diverse range of -alkylated indoles.

A dearth of age-related stem cell research further restricts their clinical applications. The present study explores the possibility of using MSCs derived from human gingival tissues (GMSCs) for studying their ex vivo growth characteristics and differentiation potential with respect to donor age.

We conducted a meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials (RCTs) that compared these two approaches.
Methods: PubMed and Scopus databases were searched for RCTs published in English language related to END and OBS in patients with early stage OSCC with clinical N0 neck.
Background There has been an increase in non-tuberculous mycobacteria (NTM) infection reports in humans. Surgeons are concerned about the link between them and surgical site infections. As a result, it has been challenging to determine just how common this illness is.

Materials And Methods: An observational study of 100 patients was conducted in our institution for 2years from 2018 to 2020 divided into 2 groups: 50 patients underwent modified supine percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL) and 50 patients underwent standard prone PCNL. The inclusion criteria included a renal calculus (calyx or pelvis) of any size for which PCNL was indicated and exclusion criteria were patients having contraindications for PCNL such as bleeding disorders, pregnancy, high risk, and co-morbid conditions.
The emergence of novel variants of SARS-CoV-2 in several countries has been associated with increased transmissibility or reduced neutralization potential of antibodies against the Wuhan virus (wild type). From August 2021 onwards, India experienced a progressive decline in the number of active SARS-CoV-2 infections, indicative of a downward trend in the explosive second wave. This prospective study was conducted quarterly for one year (May 2020 to June 2021) at a tertiary care hospital in the city of Pune in western India.

Aim: The aim of this study was to compare the use of both types of stents using the Ureteral Symptom Score Questionnaire (USSQ) and assess proximal migration.
Settings And Design: This was a single institute study.
Purpose: COVID-19 pandemic remains a serious public health threat worldwide. In view of the limited data on the risk of perinatal transmission of SARS-CoV-2 and transfer of maternal anti-SARS-CoV-2 antibodies, the present study was undertaken.
Methods: A prospective study including 57 pregnant women with a positive SARS-CoV-2 RNA test (SARS-CoV-2-RNA+) and 59 neonates born to them was conducted at Pune, India.
Herein we report the -heterocyclic carbene (NHC)-catalyzed [3 + 2] annulation of α,β-unsaturated aldehydes with carbamoylpropiolates via an unusual enolate pathway leading to the construction of highly functionalized maleimides or isomaleimides. The electronic effect imposed by the alkyl/aryl group present on the amide nitrogen of carbamoylpropiolates plays a crucial role in the selective formation of these important five-membered heterocyclic building blocks. The developed protocol is mild and tolerates a wide range of substituents on both substrates.

Hilltop mining areas of this region have always been responsible for producing excessive soil erosion in the associated river basin. This erosion phenomenon becomes hazardous during the rainy season, thereby contributing to various environmental problems, and consequently, necessitating soil erosion control planning in the Saranda forest.
