Analysis of the results of clinicoimmunological study of the use of autotransfusion of blood treated by ultraviolet irradiation (ABUVI) in infants with acute purulent destructive pneumonia (APDP) revealed that imbalance of cellular and humoral immunity factors was the main factor determining the severity of the disease. ABUVI is an effective measure for correcting the immune response of the child's organism to the bacterial aggression through adequate production of monocytic phagocytes and plasma cells of the blood. It also influences the completeness of humoral immunity and reduction of T-lymphocyte deficiency in the acute phase of the disease.

Enterostomy of the afferent intestine with preliminary formation of an intestinal anastomosis with the efferent loop was carried out in 11 children. The anastomosis was created by means of a compression device of an alloy "with shape memory". Among the children who underwent operation 7 were newborns with intestinal atresia and 4 were children of an older age with peritonitis and perforation of the intestine.

The use of radiation of the helium-neon laser makes time of the treatment of patients with purulent processes 4-6 days shorter, prevents the formation of rough scars and deformities at the place of the former purulent wound. The laser irradiation is especially effective when combined with proteolytic enzymes.

From analysis of the data on the physical activity and working capacity of 162 patients with valvular stenosis of the pulmonary artery and tetraology of Fallot before and after correction of the anomaly, it was found that only 26.5% of patients have good physical resources before operation. In the late periods after effective correction of the defect in all grades of stenosis and even in secondary stenosis of the right conus arteriosus, reverse dynamics of functional disorders occurs and high physical activity is restored in more than 90% of patients.

An analysis of 433 observations is presented (164 cases of isolated pulmonary stenosis, 132 cases of its combination with atrial septal defect, and 137--with ventricular septal defect), the patients being 1 year 1 month to 36 years old, and the form of their heart disease being verified during surgery on a "dry" heart. The mentioned diseases were classified into 3 groups according to the tactical importance of the pulmonary stenosis. Haemodynamic studies in patients with pulmonary stenosis and an intact ventricular septum have demonstrated that with age right-ventricular hypertension progresses the faster the greater the pulmonary artery valve is stenosed.
