Purpose: To study characteristics and identify factors associated with full manuscript publication of oral abstracts presented at gynecologic surgery societies' annual meetings.
Study Design: We reviewed all oral abstracts presented at four major gynecologic surgery meetings in 2018. Oral abstracts subsequently published as peer-reviewed manuscripts were compared to those that were not published.

Research Question: We aimed to assess the impact of Body Mass Index (BMI) on 30-day postoperative complications in patients undergoing minimally invasive hysterectomy (MIH) for fibroids.
Design: Using data from the American College of Surgeons National Surgical Quality Improvement Program (NSQIP) database (2012-2020), we analyzed major and minor 30-day postoperative complications, stratified by BMI, in patients with uterine fibroids who underwent MIH. Complications were stratified according to the Clavien-Dindo classification.
Endometriosis is a common gynecologic condition that causes chronic life-altering symptoms including pain, infertility, and elevated cancer risk. There is an urgent need for new non-hormonal targeted therapeutics to treat endometriosis, but until very recently, the cellular and molecular signatures of endometriotic lesions were undefined, severely hindering the development of clinical advances. Integrating inherited risk data from analyses of >450,000 individuals with ∼350,000 single cell transcriptomes from 21 patients, we uncover M2-macrophages as candidate drivers of disease susceptibility, and nominate IL1 signaling as a central hub impacted by germline genetic variation associated with endometriosis.

The condition can be FATAL: at labor due to a lack of spontaneous separation of the placenta from the uterine wall, leading to severe hemorrhage. In this study, we aim to evaluate preoperative risk factors for unplanned immediate hysterectomy in PAS uterine-preserving surgeries.

Methods: A retrospective study. We included patients with EC diagnosed in an outpatient clinic which had surgical staging as in our division.
Background: Uterine fibroids are the most common indication for benign hysterectomy in the United States, but data regarding the association between hysterectomy type and outcomes for this indication are lacking.
Objective: This study aimed to describe the rate and odds of short-term (30 days) postoperative complications between patients who underwent minimally invasive total laparoscopic hysterectomy and those who underwent laparoscopic supracervical hysterectomy for uterine fibroids.
Study Design: This was a cohort study of prospectively collected data from the American College of Surgeons National Surgical Quality Improvement Program database from 2012 to 2020.
Purpose: To study the rate and odds of 30 day postoperative complications among patients undergoing minimally invasive total (TLH) compared to supracervical (LSCH) hysterectomy for endometriosis.
Study Design: A cohort study of patients with a diagnosis of endometriosis undergoing hysterectomy. We used prospectively collected data from the American College of Surgeons National Surgical Quality Improvement Program database from 2012 to 2020.

Objective: Gangliosides GD2 and GD3 have been proposed to be of significance in diagnosis of ovarian masses. We aim to study serum GD2 and GD3 gangliosides as predictors of oncological outcomes among high grade serous (HGS) ovarian cancer (OC).
Materials And Methods: A retrospective study including biobanked serum samples of HGS OC treated between 2005 and 2016.
Objectives: To determine the prevalence of proteinuria in patients diagnosed with intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy (IHCP), and the association between the presence of proteinuria and adverse pregnancy outcomes.
Methods: This was a retrospective cohort study. The study included all pregnant patients between July 2014 and January 2022, at gestational age > 24weeks who had been diagnosed with IHCP and had completed a 24-hour protein collection.
Background: The Laparoscopic Approach to Cervical Cancer study results revolutionized our understanding of the best surgical management for this disease. After its publication, the guidelines state that the standard and recommended approach for radical hysterectomy is an open abdominal approach. Nevertheless, the effect of the Laparoscopic Approach to Cervical Cancer trial on real-world changes in the surgical approach to radical hysterectomy remains elusive.

Objectives: To study the effects of actions to limit the spread of COVID-19 on AT management.
Methods: We conducted a retrospective cohort study of all women who underwent laparoscopy for suspected AT between March 2011 and February 2021.
Study Objective: To characterize robotic surgery publications in gynecologic oncology, and to identify factors associated with high citation metrics.
Design: A cross-sectional study SETTING: Original articles on robotic surgery in gynecologic oncology.
Patients: No patients involved.
Objectives: To explore the obstetric, maternal and neonatal outcome in the subsequent pregnancy after a pregnancy with an accidental uterine extension (AUE) during cesarean delivery (CD), as well as the relationship between the different types of AUE (inferior, lateral and superior).
Methods: A retrospective cohort study of all CD with AUE in a tertiary medical center between 01/2011-01/2022. Women with a prior CD with AUE were compared to a 1:3 ratio matched control group of women with a prior CD without AUE.
Objective: This study aimed to investigate maternal and neonatal outcomes in subsequent pregnancies of women with a history of placenta accreta spectrum (PAS) compared with women without history of PAS.
Study Design: A retrospective cohort study conducted at a single tertiary center between March 2011 and January 2022. We compared women with a history of PAS who had uterine preservation surgery and a subsequent pregnancy, to a control group matched in a 1:5 ratio.
Objective: To describe the rate and surgical outcomes of sentinel lymph node (SLN) biopsy in patients with endometrial intraepithelial neoplasia (EIN).
Methods: We conducted a cohort study that used the prospective American College of Surgeons National Surgical Quality Improvement Program database. Women with EIN on postoperative pathology who underwent minimally invasive hysterectomy from 2012 to 2020 were included.
