[The association of autoimmune thyroiditis with HLA-B8 in the Georgian population].

The study of distribution of HLA antigens among Georgian population in case of autoimmune thyreoiditis revealed a statistically significant association of HLA-B8 antigen with autoimmune thyreoiditis. For statistical analysis we used following criterion: relative risk, attributive risk, preventive fraction, correlation coefficient and immunogenetic correction (P). Without compatibility to these criteria, there were no associations of the HLA antigens with the diseases.
