The pulmonary symptoms secondary to severe acute respiratory syndrome in coronavirus (COVID-19) infections are the most common presentation for the disease; however, it is now known that in a small portion of patients, severe hemorrhagic complications can also be seen. In this report, three cases of elderly women with known COVID-19 infection, developing spontaneous rectus sheath hematoma on anticoagulation therapy, are presented. Three cases presented above emphasize the need to perform a computed tomography examination after a sudden hemodynamic deterioration and a decrease in hemoglobin count in COVID-19 patients in intensive care units (ICUs).

Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a recently recognised pandemic spreading rapidly from Wuhan, Hubei, to other provinces in China and to many countries around the world. The number of COVID-19-related deaths is steadily increasing. Acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) is a disease with high morbidity and mortality rates, and primary percutaneous coronary intervention is usually recommended for the treatment.

Background: Levobupivacaine, the S(-) isomer of bupivacaine, is less cardiotoxic than racemic bupivacaine. Previous studies have examined different concentrations of levobupivacaine in similar ways.

Objectives: This prospective, randomized, double-blind study was designed to determine the clinical efficacy and hemodynamic effects of different concentrations and equivalent volumes of levobupivacaine in epidural anesthesia.
