Objective: This study retrospectively evaluates our laboratory immunoglobulin (Ig)M, IgG antibody and avidity test results to determine the distribution of the pathogen according to sex, age, clinics and years.
Methods: The serum samples sent to Pamukkale University Healthcare Research and Practice Hospital's Medical Microbiology laboratory between January 2016 and December 2023 were evaluated for seropositivity. antibodies and avidity testing were studied using chemiluminescent microparticle immunological testing method (Abbott Architect i2000SR, Weisbaden, Germany).
Aim: Ischemic stroke remains one of the leading causes of death and disability worldwide and ca-rotid stenosis is the leading etiology of ischemic strokes of non-cardiac origin. The chronic inflammatory process and pro-inflammatory state in carotid stenosis seem to be the most im-portant underlying factor in carotid occlusion. In addition to medical therapy and carotid ar-tery stunting (CAS) in the treatment of carotid stenosis, carotid endarterectomy (CEA) is the main surgical treatment of carotid stenosis and its prognosis is the main subject of our study.

Purpose: This study aimed to evaluate the effect of MLD on intraneural edema of the median nerve in CTS patients, as well as its impact on symptom severity and hand function.
Aim: To retrospectively evaluate the cranial magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) features and determine the incidence of intracranial arachnoid cysts (ACs) based on sex, age, location, size, affected side, Galassi type, and their association with hydrocephalus, mega cisterna magna (MCM), bone erosion, and midline brain shift in 15,108 patients during outpatient headache evaluations.
Material And Methods: Between 2012 and 2022, cranial MRI scans of 15,108 adult patients aged 20-70 years undergoing outpatient evaluations for headaches were retrospectively reviewed to analyze the features of ACs detected incidentally. Patients who had previously undergone a craniotomy or craniectomy were excluded from the study.
Aim: To demonstrate the possible use of mixed reality (MR) technology in neurosurgery for multiple purposes, including preoperative planning, training, and three-dimensional (3D) navigation.
Material And Methods: Using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and computed tomography (CT), 3D holographic images of three patients were created and inspected using a remote control. Preoperative planning was performed in a conference room using holographic images.
: Dementia is increasing worldwide. This study aimed to examine the impact of comorbidity burden and frailty on dementia prognosis in patients with dementia. : This retrospective cohort study was conducted with 47 patients with dementia who were followed for up to two years.

Background: The purpose of this study was to clarify the relationship between smartphone addiction and miyafascial trigger points in university students.
Methods: A cross-sectional study of university students was conducted for the purpose of this study. The participants were assessed based on age, gender, dominant side, the amount of time they spent on their smartphones, the purpose of their use, and their posture.
Objective: Virtual simulation and imaging systems have evolved as advanced products of computing technology over the years. With advancements in mobile technology, smartphones, and tablets, the quality of display and processing speed have gradually improved, thanks to faster central processing units with higher capacity. Integrating these two technologies into the fields of healthcare and medical education has had a positive impact on surgical training.

Methods: The study was a multicenter, randomized controlled study conducted at two senior living facilities with individuals aged 65 and above whose cardiorespiratory and musculoskeletal conditions are suitable for moderate exercise and who have normal cognition levels. Block randomization was applied to 96 participants in a ratio of 1:1:1 to be assigned to AE, AE + RE, and control (C) groups.
Background: To evaluate any mismatch between rod bending and actual lordosis during posterior lumbar instrumentation and its effects on the quality of life (QOL) of patients.
Methods: Patient records for posterior lumbar fusion in 2018-2023 were retrospectively reviewed. The radiologic parameters consisted of pelvic incidence, sacral slope, L1S1 lumbar lordosis, lumbosacral angle, the distance between the posterior wall of the vertebra and the rod, lordosis of the rod.
Objective: The main goal of this retrospective study was to examine the morphology of the interthalamic adhesion (ITA) in normal children aged between 1 and 18 years.
Methods: The study universe consisted of magnetic resonance images of 180 healthy pediatric subjects (age, 9.50 ± 5.
Objective: This retrospective study aimed at determining the dimension of the interthalamic adhesion (ITA) in patients with the idiopathic intracranial hypertension (IIH) for assisting in preoperative radiologic diagnosis.
Methods: The study universe consisted of magnetic resonance images of 20 patients with IIH (age: 22.70 ± 4.

Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate the efficacy of vasoactive inotrope score at the 24th postoperative hour for mortality and morbidity in elective adult cardiac surgery.
Methods: Consecutive patients who underwent elective adult coronary artery bypass and valve surgery in a single tertiary center for cardiac surgery between December 2021 and March 2022 were prospectively included. The vasoactive inotrope score was calculated with the dosage of inotropes that were continuing at the 24th postoperative hour.
Hydrogenation of the N-N bond under ambient conditions over 1 wt% Ru/Vulcan was monitored through Diffuse Reflectance Infrared Spectroscopy (DRIFTS) and DFT. IR signals centered at 3017 cm and 1302 cm were visible with attributes similar to the asymmetric stretching and bending vibrations of gas phase ammonia at 3381 cm and 1650 cm. The intensities of the signals increased with consecutive H : Ar and N flow cycles at room temperature and atmospheric pressure due to accumulation of the formed NH on the catalyst surface.

We have been challenged to describe the surgical approach to a rare case of CRINET and describe the intraoperative features since none has been described before. Surgical resection and chemotherapy hold a great importance of favorable prognosis.

Objective: The presence of protozoan parasites in agricultural irrigation and drinking water resources at Denizli city center was investigated in detail for the first time.
Methods: The research was carried out between October 2017 and October 2018 and 84 water samples were taken from 7 different stations identified from the Denizli city center. After examining the samples by direct visualization (Native-Lugol), they were stained with quinton's acid fast, giemsa and trichrome dyes.
This study aims to determine retrospectively the prevalence of rotavirus and enteric adenovirus in patients with gastroenteritis symptoms and the distribution of pathogens by gender, age, seasons, and years. The stool samples sent to Pamukkale University Healthcare Research and Practice Hospital's Medical Microbiology laboratory between January 2017 and December 2021 were evaluated for rotavirus/adenovirus antigen positivity. Rotavirus and adenovirus antigens were studied with the Rotavirus-Adenovirus Combo Rapid Cassette Test (Acro Biotech) kit.

However, studies with exergaming programs for patients with knee osteoarthritis (OA) are limited.
Aims: We aimed to investigate the effects of exergaming given by visual and auditory stimulated assisted joint training device in addition to the conventional physiotherapy program on pain intensity, range of motion (ROM), functional status, kinesiophobia, proprioceptive acuity, muscle strength, and postural stability in patients with knee OA.

Differences in flour particle size distribution can affect postprandial glycaemia in people with type 2 diabetes and postprandial insulinaemia in people with and without type 2 diabetes. No prior studies have investigated the effect of wholegrain flour particle size distribution on glycaemic or insulinaemic response among people with impaired glucose tolerance or risk factors for type 2 diabetes.
