Background: IgA vasculitis (IgAV) is a multisystemic small vessel vasculitis and is the most common vasculitis in childhood. The characteristic findings of IgAV are palpable purpuric rash, abdominal pain, arthralgia or arthritis, and hematuria. Ischemic complications are very rare in IgAV.

Takayasu's arteritis (TA) is a rare chronic granulomatous vasculitis characterized by large-vessel involvement. The aorta and its main branches are most commonly involved. Although pulmonary artery involvement is common, hemoptysis or respiratory findings are rarely seen.
