Extracting behavioral information from animal sounds has long been a focus of research in bioacoustics, as sound-derived data are crucial for understanding animal behavior and environmental interactions. Traditional methods, which involve manual review of extensive recordings, pose significant challenges. This study proposes an automated system for detecting and classifying animal vocalizations, enhancing efficiency in behavior analysis.

Methods: The study included newborns who were followed-up in our neonatal intensive care unit with the diagnosis of critical congenital heart disease, developed fever due to PGE1 infusion and had acetaminophen administered for antipyretic treatment. The patent ductus arteriosus diameters of the patients were evaluated by echocardiographic imaging before intravenous acetaminophen treatment and at the end of the day of acetaminophen treatment.
Background: Vasoactive inotrope score, renal score, fibrosis-5 index, and lactate-albumin ratio have not been investigated before in determining multiple organ dysfunctions accompanying infants with hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy (HIE) in neonatal intensive care units (NICUs). The aim of this study was to determine whether multiple organ dysfunctions that may accompany HIE in infants are correlated with vasoactive inotrope score (VIS), renal score (RS), fibrosis-5 index (FIB-5), and lactate-albumin ratio (LAR), and whether these parameters can predict morbidity and mortality.
Methods: This is a retrospective study, and 106 newborns diagnosed with HIE and treated with hypothermia were included in the study.
Background: The effect of conservative treatments on sleep quality in carpal tunnel syndrome is unclear.
Purpose: Comparing the effect of splinting and kinesiotaping in carpal tunnel syndrome on functional status, pain, grip strength, nerve cross-sectional area and sleep quality.
Study Design: Randomized controlled study.
Background: Pathogenic variants in are associated with pyridoxine-dependent epilepsy (PDE), a rare autosomal recessive disorder characterized by epileptic seizures, unresponsiveness to standard antiseizure medications (ASM), and a response only to pyridoxine. Here, we report two patients (from a consanguineous family) with neonatal seizures and developmental delay.
Case Presentation: Patient 1 (a 13-year-old girl) was born normally at term.
Background: Pediatric patients with Eosinophilic Granulomatosis with Polyangiitis (EGPA) are at an increased risk of arterial and venous thromboembolism (AVTE). Although the exact mechanisms underlying AVTE remain unclear, eosinophils play a pivotal role in AVTE.
Main Body: Current guidelines lack evidence-based recommendations, particularly concerning anticoagulant and antiplatelet treatments for this condition.
High-energy nuclear collisions create a quark-gluon plasma, whose initial condition and subsequent expansion vary from event to event, impacting the distribution of the eventwise average transverse momentum [P([p_{T}])]. Disentangling the contributions from fluctuations in the nuclear overlap size (geometrical component) and other sources at a fixed size (intrinsic component) remains a challenge. This problem is addressed by measuring the mean, variance, and skewness of P([p_{T}]) in ^{208}Pb+^{208}Pb and ^{129}Xe+^{129}Xe collisions at sqrt[s_{NN}]=5.

It is characterized by the presence of multifocal or unifocal osteolytic lesions that can cause bone pain and soft tissue swelling. CNO is known to have soft tissue involvement.

Cats were assigned into following groups: clinically healthy cats (n=8), HCM without SEC (n=12), and HCM with SEC (n=8). Left atrial shortening fraction (LAFS%) and left atrial fractional area change (LAFAC) had statistical significance between groups.

However, little work has evaluated motor vehicle accident (MVA) related trauma symptoms. The goal of this brief report was to provide pilot data characterizing MVA-related peritraumatic reactions, trauma symptoms, and rates of PTSD diagnosis and mental health service use among Autistic compared to non-autistic adults.

We hypothesized that prolonged treatment of prepubertal dogs with deslorelin would alter the expression of GnRH and kisspeptin genes in the uterus and ovaries.

This retrospective single center cohort study included 49 patients with acute PE and 33 patients with CTEPH who underwent CT pulmonary angiography on a dlDECT from 06/2016 to 06/2022. Conventional images), material specific images (virtual non-contrast [VNC], iodine density overlay [IDO], electron density [ED]), and virtual monoenergetic images (VMI) were analyzed.

Background: The hidden nursing education curriculum can influence professional outcomes. While nursing curriculum is designed to prepare students to become proficient nurses, the hidden curriculum is linked to unintended learning outcomes.
Clostridioides (Clostridium) difficile (C. difficile) infection (CDI), often severe when producing toxin A, toxin B, and CDT, can cause life-threatening fulminant infections, especially in vulnerable patients. This case report discusses a 39-year-old woman with no medical history who developed severe CDI after antibiotic treatment, leading to fatal hypovolemic shock.

The aim of this study was to compare and define the differences in clinical, demographic and polysomnographic characteristics of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) patients in long and short AHD groups and investigate the relationship between apnea-hypopnea index (AHI), oxygen desaturation index (ODI), and sleepiness.
Methods: The cross-sectional analysis included 511 OSA patients who were >18 years and followed up between June 2019 and December 2019 in the Sleep Center of university hospital.
Objective: Acute graft versus host disease (GVHD) occurs in 20-80 % of patients undergoing allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo-HSCT). Of these patients, 40 % will be resistant to steroids, which is the standard first-line approach. There is no standard second line treatment approach for patients with steroid refractory acute GVHD (SR-aGVHD).
