Objective: To evaluate the role of lysophosphatidic acid (LPA) as a tumor marker in diagnosis and follow-up of patients with epithelial ovarian cancer.

Methods: Eighty-seven epithelial ovarian cancer patients, 74 benign ovarian tumor patients, and 50 healthy women were enrolled in the study. Twenty-nine of 87 epithelial ovarian cancer patients were followed up for 6 cycles of paclitaxel-carboplatin chemotherapy.

We present the case of a 40-year-old woman who had been previously operated for endometrioma 2 years ago by laparoscopy, with the complaint of an umbilical mass with cyclical pain pattern. The dark-colored mass was excised and pathology report revealed it to be an endometriotic implant.

Arthrogryposis multiplex congenita is a general term for congenital multiple joint contractures, the aetiology of which is variable. Prenatal diagnosis is usually based on the detection of diminished fetal movements and joint contractures on ultrasound. There are also reports of early diagnosis of arthrogryposis in the first and early second trimester by detection of subcutaneous oedema.
