Background: The COVID-19 pandemic significantly increased the levels of burnout and symptoms of depression, anxiety, and stress among healthcare professionals. However, research on the interrelations between burnout and psychological symptoms is scarce, particularly among psychiatrists. This study addresses this gap in a national sample.

Advancements in diagnostic and therapeutic approaches have led to a remarkable reduction in the morbidity and mortality rates associated with a variety of diseases. In the context of acute ischemic heart disease, significant milestones have been achieved, beginning with the establishment of cardiac ICUs. These were pivotal in providing specialized care for patients with severe heart conditions.

Background: Childhood maltreatment (CM) is closely linked to internet addiction (IA), especially in adolescents with Major Depressive Disorder (MDD). Previous studies have shown that adolescents who experience CM are more likely to develop IA and other psychological problems. This study aims to explore the complex relationship between CM and IA through network analysis, particularly identifying the core symptoms and bridge symptoms to better understand the development of IA in these adolescents.

Aim: To investigate gender differences in the actual and expected income among psychiatric nurses in China.

Background: Although studies have shown that male nurses earn more than female nurses in other countries, there are no published data regarding gender income differences among psychiatric nurses in China.

Methods: We conducted a cross-sectional study involving 41 representative psychiatric hospitals in China.

Introduction: Healthcare workers are integral to public smoking cessation; however, their own smoking behavior can create a significant obstacle to intervening in patients' cessation efforts. Conversely, their success in quitting can enhance their ability to support patients. Research on smoking behavior, particularly smoking cessation among Chinese psychiatric professionals is limited.

In the face of the serious threat to human health and the economic burden caused by bacterial antibiotic resistance, 2D phosphorus nanomaterials have been widely used as antibacterial agents. Violet phosphorus nanosheets (VPNSs) are an exciting bandgap-adjustable 2D nanomaterial due to their good physicochemical properties, yet the study of VPNS-based antibiotics is still in its infancy. Here, a composite of gold nanorods (AuNRs) loaded onto VPNS platforms (VPNS/AuNR) is constructed to maximize the potential of VPNSs for antimicrobial applications.

Background: The mental health workforce sustainability in China suffers high rates of attrition and the intention to leave. Among current professionals, the intention to choose the same career is an interesting way to gauge their job satisfaction and other factors, and it may affect the career choices of younger generations. We aimed to survey the intention of psychiatrists and psychiatry residents to choose the same career if they could start over and to identify associated factors.

Anisotropic optoelectronics based on low-symmetry two-dimensional (2D) materials hold immense potential for enabling multidimensional visual perception with improved miniaturization and integration capabilities, which has attracted extensive interest in optical communication, high-gain photoswitching circuits, and polarization imaging fields. However, the reported in-plane anisotropic photocurrent and polarized dichroic ratios are limited, hindering the achievement of high-performance anisotropic optoelectronics. In this study, we introduce novel low-symmetry violet phosphorus (VP) with a unique tubular cross-linked structure into this realm, and the corresponding anisotropic optical and optoelectronic properties are investigated both experimentally and theoretically for the first time.

Hepatic ischemia-reperfusion injury (HIRI) adversely affects liver transplant and resection outcomes. Recently, ferroptosis has been associated with HIRI. Dexmedetomidine (Dex), a potent sedative with anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and anti-apoptotic properties, protects organs from hypoxic or ischemia-reperfusion (I/R) injuries.

Violet phosphorene (vP), a two-dimensional structure with various unique properties, has attracted much attention recently. The electromechanical behaviour, a mechanical-electrical-thermal coupling failure behaviour, of supported and suspended vP nanoflakes has been investigated by the c-AFM nanoindentation method under different loads and bias voltages in this work. A bump due to the oxidation caused by electric current-induced local heating was observed for the supported vP on substrates under mild load and bias voltage.

Violet phosphorus has been proven to be the most stable phosphorus allotrope and has attracted much attention recently. The growth of violet phosphorus with large lateral sizes is crucial to obtain good quality violet phosphorene for nanodevice fabrication. Herein, a large number of violet phosphorus plates have been produced from molten lead using an optimized method to achieve red bronze luster.

Violet phosphorus (VP), a recently confirmed layered elemental structure, is demonstrated to have unique photoelectric, mechanical, and photocatalytic properties. Element substitution plays a significant role in modifying the physical/chemical properties of semiconducting materials. Herein, antimony is adopted to substitute some phosphorus atoms in VP crystals to tune their physical and chemical properties, resulting in a significantly enhanced photocatalytic hydrogen evolution performance.

Effective photocatalytic carbon dioxide (CO ) reduction into high-value-added chemicals is promising to mitigate current energy crisis and global warming issues. Finding effective photocatalysts is crucial for photocatalytic CO reduction. Currently, metal-based semiconductors for photocatalytic CO reduction have been well reviewed, while review of nonmetal-based semiconductors is almost limited to carbon nitrides.

Violet phosphorus, a non-metallic elemental layered structure, has not been reported as a photocatalyst due to the lack of its resources. An excellent photocatalytic H evolution rate of 675 ± 109 μmol h g with high stability has been achieved by the violet phosphorus simply dispersed in deionized water with addition of 1.0 wt% of co-catalyst Pt, which is much higher than that obtained from black phosphorus.

Black phosphorene has attracted much attention as a semiconducting two-dimensional material. Violet phosphorus is another layered semiconducting phosphorus allotrope with unique electronic and optoelectronic properties. However, no confirmed violet crystals or reliable lattice structure of violet phosphorus had been obtained.

Human MutT homolog 1 (MTH1) hydrolyses oxidised nucleotide triphosphates, thereby preventing them from being incorporated into DNA; MTH1 has been found to be elevated in many types of cancers, including lung, stomach cancer, melanoma and breast cancer. Thus, tumour‑targeted hMTH1 may be valuable for developing novel anticancer therapies. In the present study, we prepared human MTH1 protein and its monoclonal antibody (mAb).
