Chronic exposure to low-levels of organophosphate (OP) compounds, such as chlorpyrifos (CPF), induces oxidative stress and could be related to neurological disorders. Hydrogen has been identified as a novel antioxidant which could selectively scavenge hydroxyl radicals. We explore whether intake of hydrogen-rich water (HRW) can protect Wistar rats from CPF-induced neurotoxicity.

Concurrently, the growth responses and water use of plants may be different compared with those estimated based on symmetric warming. In this work, it was compared with the effects of symmetric (ETs) and asymmetric (ETa) elevation of temperature alone, and in interaction with elevated carbon dioxide concentration (EC), on the grain yield (GY) and evapotranspiration in winter wheat (Triticum aestivum L.

Methods: Patients with parasellar meningioma or parasellar cavernous haemangioma underwent conventional T1- and T2-weighted magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) followed by DWI and 3D-ASL using a 3.0 Tesla MRI.

Objective: To elucidate the volume changes of cortical and subcortical reward circuitry in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus.
Methods: High-resolution three-dimensional T1-weighted fast spoiled gradient recalled echo MRI images were obtained from 16 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and 16 normal controls, and 11 type 2 diabetic patients also received the same MRI scans after insulin therapy for 1 year. Volumetric analysis was performed and analysis of covariance and paired t test were applied.

Objective: To explore the impact of gender on the marginal division(MrD)of the neostriatum in healthy adults.
Methods: Conventional magnetic resonance imaging(MRI),3D structure images, and resting-state function MRI(rs-fMRI)were performed in 64 health adults, who were divided into male group(n=28)and female group(n=26).MrD was defined using manual drawing on structure images, and was applied to the computation of functional connectivity maps.

Objective: To investigate the structural connectivity between visual cortex and auditory cortex in healthy adults.
Methods: Diffusion tensor imaging was performed to examine the brain of 21 healthy adult subjects. The structural connectivity was calculated based on fractional anisotropy (FA) value of the visual and auditory cortices, and fiber tracking was performed between the visual cortex and auditory cortex.

Objective: To investigate the age-related changes in resting functional connectivity of the marginal division (MrD) of the neostriatum in healthy adults detected using resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging (rs-fMRI).
Methods: Forty-four healthy volunteers aged between 22 and 44 years (mean 30.36∓6.
The Q method, combining qualitative and quantitative methods, refers to the qualitative analysis of Q-sorts based on quantitative techniques. It is used to research individual subjective experience, analyzing consensus and divergence to identify and categorize subjects' viewpoints. The sorting process is completely performed by the subjects, independent of study researchers.

Objective: To evaluate application value of apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) in differentiating brain radiation-injuries and glioma recurrence.
Methods: Totally 23 patients [18 men and 5 women aged 32 to 67 years (mean: 47 years)] with previously resected and irradiated glioma were examined by using a 3.0T MR Scanner, including conventional and diffusion weighted image (DWI) sequences.
Objective: To study the value of multislice spiral computed tomography (CT) in the diagnosis of ovarian fibroma.
Method: The CT findings of 9 cases with pathologically confirmed ovarian fibroma were retrospectively analyzed by two radiologists.
Results: All of the 9 cases showed unilateral adnexal mass with demarcated boundary.

Acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS) is a chronic infectious disease, which the patients are infected with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). HIV damages the human's immune function and causes CD4 cell decline in the number and function. Immune reconstitution is an important treatment to AIDS.

As the stands, one-sidedness of subjective understanding and subjective bias is surely existed in the study of Chinese medicine (CM) doctors' experiences, so to find appropriate methods for inheriting the real experiences of experts is needed. Since CM thinking presents as a system integral way of intention thinking and a mental process of subject, to study CM experts' experiences in virtue of Q method, a psychological research method for the subjective sense, must be feasible. The application of Q method was inspected in this article, it was considered to be capable of sorting the experts, integrating the opinions of experts and comparing their opinions from multi-pointviews.

Aim: To investigate the tropism of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs) in neurogenic differentiation for glioma and SDF-1alpha.
Methods: BHA, bFGF, and DMSO were used to induce the neural differentiation of BMSCs, and the expression of neural markers, Nestin, beta-III-Tubulin and NSE were analyzed by immunocytochemistry. We investigated, by using the Dunn chamber, the migration of BMSCs in neurogenic differentiation towards glioma and SDF-1alpha.
Different statistical methods and path analysis were used to study the relationship between leaf water use efficiency (WUE) and physio-biochemical traits for 19 wheat genotypes, including photosynthesis rate (P(n)), stomatal conductance (g(s)), transpiration rate (T(r)), intercellular concentration of carbon oxide (C(i)), leaf water potential (Psi(w)), leaf temperature, wax content, leaf relative water content (RWC), rate of water loss from excised-leaf (RWL), peroxidase (POD) and superoxide dismutase (SOD) activities. The results showed that photosynthesis rate, stomatal conductance and transpiration rate were the most important leaf WUE variables under rained conditions. Based on the results of five statistical analyses, it is reasonable to assume that high leaf WUE wheat under the rained could be obtained by selecting breeding materials with high photosynthesis rate, low transpiration rate and stomatal conductance.

The proper distribution of roots within the soil under various conditions such as salinity, water deficit, and nutrient deficiency greatly affects plant survival. Salinity profoundly affects the root system architecture of Arabidopsis (Arabidopsis thaliana).

Objective: To study the effect of Shengqi Jiangtang Granule (SJG) on rat model of insulin resistance (IR) and explore the mechanism.
Methods: IR model was induced by high fat diet and peritoneal injection of streptozotocin in Wistar rats. Model rats were randomly divided into the model group, the low, medium and high dose SJG groups treated with corresponding dose of SJG, and thc RGL group with rosiglitazone (RGL).
The nuclear protein ETHYLENE INSENSITIVE2 (EIN2) is a central component of the ethylene signal transduction pathway in plants, and plays an important role in mediating cross-links between several hormone response pathways, including abscisic acid (ABA). ABA mediates stress responses in plants, but there is no report on the role of EIN2 on plant response to salt and osmotic stresses. Here, we show that EIN2 gene regulates plant response to osmotic and salt stress through an ABA-dependent pathway in Arabidopsis.
