Protein liquid-liquid phase separation (LLPS), a pivotal phenomenon intricately linked to cellular processes, is regulated by various other proteins. However, there is still a lack of high-throughput methods for screening protein regulators of LLPS in target proteins. Here, we developed a CRISPR/Cas9-based screening method to identify protein phase separation regulators by integrating bimolecular fluorescence complementation (BiFC) and fluorescence-activated cell sorting (FACS).

Downregulation of the CPSF6 protein, one of the 3' end-processing factors, mediates APA in macrophages with responses to virus infection and plays an important role in its anti-virus effect. However, the signaling pathway and molecular mechanism underlying the downregulation of the CPSF6 protein remain elusive.

Esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) is a severe malignant tumor of the digestive system that poses a significant threat to human health. Despite its significance, the complex molecular mechanism regulating the occurrence and development of ESCC remain elusive. The apolipoprotein B mRNA editing enzyme catalytic polypeptide-like 3 (APOBEC3) members constitute a pivotal subfamily of the APOBEC family that possess cytidine deaminase activity.

The mechanisms by which OEM impairs fertility, particularly through its direct impact on oocyte-cumulus cell (CC) communication and related pathways, remain poorly understood. This study investigates the impact of OEM on oocyte-CC communication and explores melatonin's therapeutic potential.

This study was developed with the goal of exploring the expression and functional role of RBM15 in ESCC.
Methods: This study was developed with the goal of exploring the expression and functional role of RBM15 in ESCC.

However, the overall survival (OS) of patients with SCLC remains poor. Therefore, improving the survival of patients with SCLC and benefitting more patients are urgent clinical requirements.

This study aims to analyse the potential association of birth weight with COPD risk in UK Biobank.
Methods: We conducted a prospective analysis for participants without baseline COPD in UK Biobank.
This study investigates the number line estimation (NLE) strategies utilized by children aged 4-7 across both bounded and unbounded NLE tasks. Drawing on prior research, it hypothesized that younger children would predominantly employ benchmark-based strategies, with endpoints as reference points, in bounded tasks, while older children would utilize a wider range of reference points including midpoints and quartiles. For unbounded tasks, it was anticipated that both younger and older children would adopt the scalloped strategy.

Patients And Methods: A prospective, single-arm, phase II study was conducted to treat locally advanced gastric adenocarcinoma with NAIC (NCT05515796).

Neoadjuvant immunochemotherapy (NAIC) achieves superior clinical benefits over neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC) in multiple types of human cancers, including gastric adenocarcinoma (GAC). However, it is poorly understood how the malignant epithelial cells and tumor immune microenvironment (TIME) might respond distinctly to NAIC and NAC that underlies therapeutic efficacy. Here treatment-naive and paired tumor tissues from multiple centers were subjected to pathological, immunological, and transcriptomic analysis.

At present, the reference standard for FIP diagnosis is immunohistochemistry (IHC) of organs, but this method involves high time-related costs, invasive sampling procedures and professional requirements. Serological detection is a common auxiliary method for diagnosing diseases.

Therefore, sensitive and accurate biomarkers for early detection of CHD and stroke are urgently needed for effective prevention and treatment. We aim to investigate the association between blood-based HYAL2 methylation and the risk of CHD and stroke in Chinese population.

Introduction: Embryo implantation requires synergistic interaction between the embryo and the receptive endometrium. Glycoproteins and glycan-binding proteins are involved in endometrium-embryo attachment. Sialyl Tn (sTn), a truncated O-glycan, is catalyzed by ST6 N-Acetylgalactosaminide Alpha-2,6-Sialyltransferase 1 (ST6GALNAC1) and can be detected by specific Sialic-acid-binding immunoglobulin-like lectins (Siglecs).

The concurrence of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and lung cancer has been widely reported and extensively addressed by pulmonologists and oncologists. However, most studies have focused on shared risk factors, DNA damage pathways, immune microenvironments, inflammation, and imbalanced proteases/antiproteases. In the present review, we explore the association between COPD and lung cancer in terms of airway pluripotent cell fate determination and discuss the various cell types and signaling pathways involved in the maintenance of lung epithelium homeostasis and their involvement in the pathogenesis of co-occurring COPD and lung cancer.

The C-reactive protein to albumin ratio (CAR) has emerged as a novel marker of inflammation and has been extensively used in predicting inflammatory bowel disease, arthritis, and systemic inflammation. Despite advancements, few studies have evaluated the role of CAR in SA.

Methods: A total of 560 college students completed the Growth Mindset Scale (GMS), UCLA Loneliness Scale (UCLA), Interpersonal Relationships Assessment Scale (IRS), and two measures assessing distinct facets of well-being the Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS) and the revised Positive Affect and Negative Affect Scale (PANAS).
To examine the level of number line estimation (NLE) in Chinese children with respect to representations of both numerical (Arabic numerals) and non-numerical symbols (dots), a total of 192 Chinese preschoolers aged between 4 and 5 years participated in four different NLE tasks. These tasks were paired to evaluate the accuracy and patterns of children's estimations in both numerical and non-numerical symbol contexts. Our findings indicate that, for Chinese preschoolers, relatively precise numerical symbol representations begin to emerge as early as 4 years of age.

Through collecting hematological and biochemical parameters data of patients prior to receiving neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy, we evaluated the predictive value of systemic inflammatory indices for pathological response and prognosis in rectal cancer patients. We found that baseline GRIm-Score was an independent predictor for MPR in rectal cancer patients.
