Wheat embryo albumin (WEA), rich in amino acids with a good balanced proportion, demonstrates plentiful biological activities. The effects of WEA and its peptide with the best antioxidant ability (F3) as a post-workout and pre-workout energy supplement on alleviating acute exercise fatigue were investigated. Under two experimental cases, the exhaustion-to-death swimming time and exhaustion swimming time were determined.

To explore the key genes involved in cell wall synthesis and understand the molecular mechanism of cell wall assembly in the model alga-, transcriptome sequencing was used to discover the differentially expressed genes in the cell wall defective strain. In the glucose metabolism, lipid metabolism, and amino acid metabolism pathways, the gene expressions involved in the synthesis of cell wall functional components were analyzed. The results showed that in the cell wall defective strain, arabinosyltransferase gene (, ) related to synthesis of plant extensin and some cell wall structural protein genes (, , , , ) were up-regulated, 1,3-β-glucan synthase gene () and endoglucanase gene () about synthesis and degradation of glycoskeleton were both mainly up-regulated.

Article Synopsis
  • Phycocyanin and allophycocyanin are valuable due to their fluorescence and antioxidant properties, prompting researchers to create recombinant strains to enhance production and enable easier modification.
  • The study involved constructing seven different recombinant strains, which included individual proteins and combinations, revealing variations in molecular weights and confirmation of dimer and polymer formations through mass spectrometry.
  • Fluorescence analysis showed that recombinant phycocyanin has a peak around 640 nm, exhibiting higher intensity compared to allophycocyanin, indicating its potential use as a fluorescence probe in medical applications.

has attracted wide attention as a cyanobacteria with high nutritional value. In this research, the response surface method was used to study the effects of light cycle, light intensity and red-blue LED conditions on the growth and organic matter accumulation in spiral shaped strain OUC623 and linear shaped strain OUC793. The light conditions suitable for OUC623 were as follows: growth (light time 12.

Arthrospira platensis is a kind of filament cyanobacteria, which is mainly helical with a few linear. The shape of the filaments, such as the length and the pitch, may change with the changes in the environment. Natural Arthrospira platensis FACHB793 is linear, although it has become helical due to a mutation introduced in the process of cultivation.
