We report the case of a 75-year-old man who had a concurrent gastrointestinal stromal tumor and adenocarcinoma at the gastroesophageal junction. The two tumors arose at the same site but had distinct morphologies.

The Fe3O4/SiO2(Ir) nanocomposite demonstrates its versatility in various applications: the magnetic core provides the capability for magnetic resonance imaging and the great enhancement of the spin-orbit coupling in the iridium complex makes it well suited for phosphorescent labeling and simultaneous singlet oxygen generation to induce apoptosis.

As the size (diameter) of the quantum dots increases, the TPA cross section is found to be empirically related via a power-law proportionality of 3.5+/-0.
