In our report, we present the case of a 60-year-old adult with symptomatic indirect carotid-cavernous fistulas (CCFs). All venous outflow routes from the cavernous sinus were absent except for an engorged left superficial middle cerebral vein, which extended through the left vein of Labbé to the left transverse sinus and then to right transverse-sigmoid sinus. We approached the diseased cavernous sinus retrogradely, starting from the right femoral vein and passing through the right transverse-sigmoid sinus, left transverse sinus, and left vein of Labbé, ultimately reaching the left CCFs.

Objective: To investigate whether the mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) content of a single biopsy at trophoblast correlates with the developmental potential and reproductive outcomes of blastocyst.

Methods: A retrospective analysis applied the dataset of 1,675 embryos with preimplantation genetic testing for aneuploidy (PGT-A) from 1,305 individuals, and 1,383 embryos involved cryotransfers of single euploid embryo between January 2015 and December 2019. The studied cohort was divided for algorithm establishment on the NGS platform (n=40), correlation of biological features (n=1,635), and correlation of reproductive outcomes (n=1,340).

Summary Answer: The ploidy concordance between ICM and TE was independent of whether the biopsy site in the TE was near to or far from the ICM.

We present prenatal diagnosis of de novo proximal interstitial deletion of chromosome 4p (4p15.2→p14) and molecular cytogenetic characterization of the deletion using uncultured amniocytes. We review the phenotypic abnormalities of previously reported patients with similar proximal interstitial 4p deletions, and we discuss the functions of the genes of RBPJ, CCKAR, STIM2, PCDH7 and ARAP2 that are deleted within this region.
