The crystal and electronic structures of four polymorphs of octahydro-1,3,5,7-tetranitro-1,3,5,7-tetrazocine (HMX) from 0 to 30 GPa were investigated by using density functional theory. The obtained structural parameters based on the GGA-PBE+TS calculations are in agreement with experimental results at ambient pressure. As the pressure increases, the volumes of the four types of HMX decrease monotonically and the band gaps gradually decrease without any significant discontinuity.

Aim Of The Study: The present study was designed to evaluate antibacterial, anti-inflammatory activities and toxicity of the total phenylethanoid glycosides from Monochasma savatieri Franch.
Five new phenylethanoid glycosides, savasides A-E (1-5), along with 6 known ones were isolated from the whole plant of Monochasma savatieri Franch. The structures of 1-5 were elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic data analysis. Moreover, all isolated compounds were evaluated for anticomplement activity through the classical pathway.
