Methods: A meta-analysis was conducted to identify randomized controlled trials of dexmedetomidine in elderly patients undergoing orthopedic surgery. The data was published on October 25, 2024.

Effect of different intensity aerobic exercise on remodeling immune microenvironment of adipose tissue in obesity mouse.

Obesity can change the immune microenvironment of adipose tissue and induce inflammation. This study is dedicated to exploring the internal mechanism by which different intensities of exercise reprogram the immune microenvironment of epididymal adipose tissue in nutritionally obese mice. C57BL/6J male obese mouse models were constructed by high-fat diet, which were respectively obese control group (OC), moderate-intensity continuous exercise group (HF-M), high-intensity continuous exercise group (HF-H), and high-intensity intermittent exercise group (HF-T).

Background: With the publication of a large number of clinical studies on antiplatelet therapy in recent years, it is still controversial which antiplatelet monotherapy should be continued after a period of dual antiplatelet therapy (DAPT) in the post percutaneous coronary intervention (post-PCI) population. We conducted a meta-analysis to investigate the efficacy and safety of inhibitors versus aspirin in the post-PCI population after completing DAPT.

Methods: We searched studies in electronic databases from January 1, 2015 to November 20, 2022.

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, rhinovirus (RV) remained notable persistence, maintaining its presence while other seasonal respiratory viruses were largely suppressed by pandemic restrictions during national lockdowns. This research explores the epidemiological dynamics of RV infections among pediatric populations on Hainan Island, China, specifically focusing on the impact before and after the zero-COVID policy was lifted. From January 2021 to December 2023, 19 680 samples were collected from pediatric patients hospitalized with acute lower respiratory tract infections (ARTIs) at the Hainan Maternal and Child Health Hospital.

Comprehensive Analysis of N6-Methylandenosine-Related lncRNAs in Clear Cell Renal Cell Carcinoma: A Correlation With Prognosis, Tumor Progression, and Therapeutic Response.

This study aims to develop a prognostic signature based on m6A-related lncRNAs for clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC). Differential expression analysis and Pearson correlation analysis were used to identify m6A-related lncRNAs associated with patient outcomes in The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) database. Our approach led to the development of an m6A-related lncRNA risk score (MRLrisk), formulated using six identified lncRNAs: NFE4, AL008729.

Modified Ileal Conduit for Pelvic Lipomatosis: Technique Description and Outcome.

Introduction: The aim of this study was to present the surgical technique and clinical outcomes of modified ileal conduit for pelvic lipomatosis (PL).

Methods: From 2020 to 2022, we prospectively enrolled 9 patients with PL undergoing modified ileal conduit. The patient characteristics, perioperative variables, and follow-up outcomes as well as the description of surgical technique were reported.

Surgical techniques and oncological outcomes of pure transperitoneal laparoscopic radical nephroureterectomy for upper urinary tract urothelial carcinoma.

Background: Open radical nephroureterectomy (RNU) with bladder cuff excision is the standard treatment for upper urinary tract urothelial carcinoma (UTUC). Traditional laparoscopic radical nephroureterectomy (LSRNU) is not minimally invasive enough due to the complex surgical procedure. This study aims to discuss the clinical feasibility and oncological outcomes of pure transperitoneal LSRNU for UTUC.
