Body fat percentage (BF%) is routinely measured in athletes to monitor training and dietary interventions. Dual energy x-ray absorptiometry (DXA) is widely considered the gold standard body composition measurement technique, but DXA BF% values measure consistently higher than other techniques. Therefore, the main purpose of this study is to determine the lowest DXA-estimated whole-body fat mass in free-living athletes with unrestricted access to food.

This study aimed to estimate the prevalence of anaemia, iron deficiency anaemia, iron deficiency, and vitamin A deficiency, according to sociodemographic factors and nutritional status among Panamanian children aged six to 59 months in 2019.
Methods: We used data from the National Health Survey of Panama (ENSPA), a population-based, cross-sectional study, with a nationally representative subsample to evaluate haemoglobin, C-reactive protein (CRP), ferritin, and retinol levels among children aged six to 59 months.
Avian evolution led to morphological adaptive variations in feet. Diverse foot types are accompanied by a diverse muscle system, allowing birds to adopt different primary lifestyles, and to display various locomotor and manipulative skills. We provide insights of evolutionary and functional significance on the avian foot architecture through Anatomical Network Analysis, a methodology focused on connectivity patterns of anatomical parts.

Therefore, this study aimed to perform a scientometric mapping of the trends, impact, and thematic evolution of scientific production on ehrlichiosis in veterinary medicine.
Materials And Methods: The study design was descriptive and observational, with a quantitative scientometric approach.
HER2 amplification in cervical cancer has been associated with worse clinical prognosis and a potential favorable response to HER2 inhibitors. Immunohistochemistry for the HER2 receptor is a universally accepted surrogate test for HER2 amplification, but no standardized scoring system currently exists for cervical carcinomas. In this study, we investigated HER2 overexpression in cervical squamous cell carcinoma and correlated it with HER2 amplification using fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) and molecular methods.

Additionally, in comparison to heterosexual men, SMM report higher levels of anti-fat bias, both directed at themselves and intimate partners. Given this literature, we qualitatively examined how nine larger-bodied SMM (Mage = 37.

Malnutrition encompasses undernutrition, overnutrition, and the coexistence of both of them, known as the double burden of malnutrition (DBM). The aim of this study was to estimate the prevalence of undernutrition, overnutrition, and the DBM among these children at the national level and by living area in Panama.

Methods: Eighty-five carcinoid tumors initially diagnosed by fine-needle aspiration over a period of 10 years were reviewed.

This study focused on strains isolated from fermented palm sap in southern Thailand that exhibit potential probiotic characteristics, including antibiotic susceptibility, resistance to gastrointestinal stresses, and antimicrobial activity against various pathogens. However, a thorough investigation of the whole genome sequences of isolates is required to ensure their safety and probiotic properties for human applications. This study aimed to sequence the genome of isolated from fermented palm sap, to assess its safety profile, and to conduct a comprehensive comparative genomic analysis with other species.

While the morphology of specialized divers is well known, the corresponding morphology is less known for birds not as specialized but capable of diving, such as the coots (Rallidae, Fulica spp.).

Yet, the circuits and mechanisms that govern this process are still not fully understood. Accurate and thorough documentation of patient comorbidities and conditions is the key determinant of neuroscience expected mortality. In this study, we focused on reviewing neuroscience documentation, as optimizing mortality index provides accurate assessment of the quality of care provided, improves service-line rankings, and affects reimbursement.

Astrocyte-elevated gene-1/Metadherin (AEG-1/MTDH) plays a key role in promoting MASH and HCC. AEG-1 is palmitoylated at residue cysteine 75 (Cys75) and a knock-in mouse representing mutated Cys75 to serine (AEG-1-C75S) showed activation of MASH- and HCC-promoting gene signature when compared to wild-type littermates (AEG-1-WT).

In this study, we aimed to analyze the genome of KU15176 and identify key genes that may have potential anticancer properties. Among potential anticancer molecules, the role of arginine deiminase (ADI) in conferring an antiproliferative functionality was confirmed.

Aside from the recently described risk stratification score, which has not been validated by other studies, and rare reports of aberrant p16 expression in malignant tumors, there are no criteria to reliably predict behavior. Herein, we evaluated the clinicopathologic features and p16 expression patterns in 30 IMTs, with genomic profiling performed in a subset (13 malignant, 3 benign).

However, the role that romantic relationships can play in eating disorder (ED) recovery has not been comprehensively investigated. The present study aimed to explore the ways that people living with and recovering from EDs experience their romantic relationships, with the specific objective of developing a novel theoretical framework, grounded in the experiences of people in diverse romantic relationships, to guide future research on the topic.

Introduction: Placental chorangioma is a benign non-trophoblastic vascular proliferation of the placental chorion favored to represent hamartoma-like or hyperplastic capillary lesions. As the exact pathophysiology has not been established, we investigated the molecular characteristics of placental chorangiomas using exploratory whole exome sequencing.
Methods: Three cases were retrospectively selected and whole exome sequencing was performed on macrodissected lesions.
