Incidence of mortality and its predictors among preterm neonates in nigist eleni mohammed memmorial comprehensive specialized hospital, Hossana, Ethiopia: a prospective follow-up study.

Background: Preterm birth is the leading cause of neonatal mortality accounting for 35% of all neonatal deaths worldwide, and the second most frequent cause of death for under five children. Despite different efforts, preterm neonatal mortality is still persistently high in Ethiopia. Little is known about death and its predictors among preterm neonates in the study area.

Determinants of wasting among under-five children in Ethiopia: Multilevel ordinal logistic regression analysis of EDHS 2016.

Background: In Ethiopia, wasting is still a serious public health problem in under-5 children regardless of the efforts done within the country. Although studies have been conducted in Ethiopia, multilevel analysis has rarely been used to identify the factors associated with wasting among children. Therefore, this study aimed to identify the factors of wasting among under-5 children in Ethiopia using multilevel ordinal logistic regression analysis.

Individual and community level factors associated with anemia among children 6-59 months of age in Ethiopia: A further analysis of 2016 Ethiopia demographic and health survey.

Background: Anemia is a global public health problem; but its burden is disproportionately borne among children in the African Regions. The 2016 Ethiopia Demographic and Health Survey report showed that the prevalence of anemia among children 6-59 months of age was 57%; far exceeding the national target of 25% set for 2015. Although studies have been conducted in Ethiopia, multilevel analysis has rarely been used to identify factors associated with anemia among children.
