[Functional loading test with caffeine as a detection method for hydrodynamic disturbances in patients with cataract and pseudoexfoliation syndrome].

Unlabelled: Different functional loading tests, with caffeine for example, can help reveal certain disturbances in ocular hydrodynamics and it would be interesting to investigate their diagnostic potential in eyes with pseudoexfoliation syndrome (PEX), which is a known trigger of glaucoma. Aim - to determine the value of caffeine loading test in the diagnosis of hydrodynamic disturbances in eyes with cataract and pseudoexfoliation syndrome.

Material And Methods: A total of 98 patients (98 eyes) with cataract and PEX were examined.

[The quality of medical care in case of urological diseases in hospitals of the Republic of Bashkortostan].

The article presents the results of the evaluation of in-patient medical care of patients with urological diseases depending of the level of medical care assistance. In the specialized departments of municipal multi-type hospitals and Republic medical establishments, the structure of in-patients with urologic pathology is characterized by larger portion of urolithiasis and lesser portion of varicocele, phimosis, orchitis and epididymitis as compared with the medical care services of municipal district. However, according to the medical insurance organizations expertise, the level of quality of medical care in the Republic medical establishments was higher than in municipal district medical services.

[Comparison of a medical effect of cryosupernatant and fresh frozen plasma used in complex treatment of patients with severe combined traumas].

Results of complex treatment of severe combined traumas were compared in 56 patients with using cryosupernatant plasma fraction (CSPF) and fresh frozen plasma--in 112 patients. Better positive dynamics of some laboratory indices was noted as well as lower risk of the development of thromboses, less lethality and better outcomes of the disease when using CSPF. It can be used instead of fresh frozen plasma in complex treatment of patients with severe combined traumas and coexisting DBC-syndrome.

[Results of 20 year puncture treatment of cystic disease].

An analysis of results of using the puncture method of treatment of solitary cysts of the liver, kidneys and spleen in 1343 patients has shown that the staged method of treatment makes surgical resection of the cysts considerably less necessary.

[Use of plasma technology in treatment of patients with pyo-inflammatory diseases of soft tissues].

The authors substantiated the method of treatment of pyo-inflammatory diseases based on experiments in white rats, using plasma flow at different stages of the process. The plasma technology was used in the clinic in 130 patients that allowed shortening the period of preparing the wounds to operative treatment and reducing the period of hospital stay from 15.3 to 9.

[Laser extraction of brown cataracts with an Nd-YAG 1.44 mcm laser].

A total of 172 extractions of brown nucleus cataracts with maximum compactness were carried out using a RAKOT complex of devices, developed by the authors for laser extraction of compact nuclei and based on the use of Nd:YAG laser with a wavelength of 1.44 mu. Brown cataract was effectively destroyed at 200-250 mJ and pulse generation frequency 25 Hz within 9-12 min during the first 20 operations and 4-6 min during subsequent 152 operations.
