Purpose: Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) poses a significant global health burden, with Mild TBI (mTBI) being the most prevalent form. TBI triggers activation of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis, which in turn affects the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal (HPG) axis regulating oogenesis and spermatogenesis. In this study, we investigated the impact of mTBI on sperm genome integrity using a repetitive mTBI (r-mTBI) mouse model.

Methanol was applied orally at the doses of 4 g/kg and 8 g/kg to induce mild and severe methanol poisoning in Balb/c mice. miRNA expression levels were detected at 3 different time periods (30, 60, and 180 min) following methanol exposure.

However, the intra-familial variability in symptoms further suggests a non-Mendelian contribution to the disease. Our goal was to find a marker to track the epigenetic changes common to rapidly progressing forms of the disease.

Whether sex differences exist in the response to ITT stress is unknown. Thus, investigations into the analysis of transcripts during activation of the HPA axis in response to hypoglycemia have revealed the underlying influences of sex in signaling pathways that stimulate the HPA axis.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of transoral or transnasal endoscopic-guided adenoidectomy compared with endoscopic nasopharyngeal inspection at the end of curettage adenoidectomy. A prospective case series of patients who had adenoidectomy. A total of 27 girls and 34 boys (age range 2.

Patients And Methods: We retrospectively evaluated 130 patients (72 males, 58 females; mean age 3.65±2.
Objective: Our aim was to analyze the changes in middle ear pressure in the early period after adenoidectomy in children with adenoid hypertrophy without otitis media with effusion.
Methods: This prospective, descriptive study was performed on 64 patients (with normal tympanic membranes and tympanograms) undergoing adenoidectomy or adenotonsillectomy. All patients were operated by single experienced team using curettage technique.
Background: Clinical, radiological, postmortem and experimental studies are not enough for the definition of pathophysiological differences between rapid and slow-progressing cerebral venous system obstruction.
Aims: An experimental study was conducted to set some physiopathological differences between rapid and slow occlusion of the superior sagittal sinus.
Settings And Design: Eighteen dogs categorized into 3 groups were chosen as test subjects.
Modification of a type of end-to-side anastomosis that has been described before is studied. The recipient artery is occluded for only 3-4 minutes to complete the anastomosis by using only the running suture. The anastomotic site was studied by inspection and Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) at different times after the operation on 30 rats.

A left-sided L5-S1 lumbar disc herniation operation was performed on a 36-year-old woman in 1987. After a 6-year period, the same patient came back to the clinic with the problem of severe sciatic pain on the same side as before. Upon diagnosis, it was seen that the left S1 radix was compressed with a piece of free autofat graft in the foramen, which was used in the first operation.

We report a case of "apoplectic pituitary adenoma" associated with puberty in an adolescent. The patient was unaware that he harbored a pituitary adenoma at the onset of his apoplectic episode. The adenoma was endocrinologically and histologically classified as a prolactinoma.
