The -SH groups of rat fibroblasts of cell-coat were blocked with Iodacetamide. This substance interferes negatively on the homologous intercellular adhesion of the tested cells, with a proportional effect related to the concentration used. The meaning of -SH groups on the cell-cell interactions is discussed.

The drug in question was shown to possess a good fluidifying, expectorant and indirect anti-cough action, by means of an initial increase of the bronchial secretions and a subsequent progressive decrease of secretions towards the end of the treatment. The analysis of the respiratory parameters examined showed no modifications of statistical significance.

We refer to the results of the serological identification of E.Coli strains from urinary tract infections and from faeces of healthy subjects in Sardinia. The serological groups more frequently found in urinary tract infections (06, 018, 075) of our geographical region one similar to those of other authors.

To control some aspects of Lipid metabolism in G-6-PD defective subjects, are evaluated the haematic levels of Cholesterol, Tri glycerides, total Lipids and Lipoproteins. There is no significative difference between enzymopathic and normal control subjects.
