Second-generation antipsychotics (SGAs) are commonly prescribed medications used to treat a variety of mental health conditions. Recent data has correlated antipsychotic medications with venous thromboembolism (VTE). SGAs have diverse side effect profiles, which may contribute to differences in incidence of VTE.
